A Childhood Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis With a Novel BRAFN486_T491delinsK Mutation: Good Response to Conventional Chemotherapy.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is characterized genetically by diverse gene mutations of the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling cascade. BRAFN486_T491delinsK mutation is a rare mutation that involves the β2-αC ring domain, causing activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway, and is predicted to be resistant to the chemotherapy and BRAFV600E inhibitor in adult LCH cases. Here, we report a childhood LCH case with this novel BRAF mutation and had a good response to conventional chemotherapy.

Background: The internet + nursing service is an important initiative for implementing the strategy of healthy China and actively responding to the aging of the population. However, the current literature on residents' awareness and willingness to participate is insufficient and presents large variations and limitations. Therefore, this study aims to systematically evaluate the awareness and willingness of Chinese residents to participate in internet + nursing service to comprehensively understand the level of awareness and acceptance of this emerging service model among Chinese residents and to provide strong support for relevant policy formulation and service optimization.

Temporal trends of transcatheter aortic valve replacement outcomes in a high-volume center from China.

Since the first transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) was performed in China in 2010, TAVR has developed rapidly. However, the temporal trends in the 1-year prognosis after TAVR in China have not been described. This study enrolled patients treated at a high-volume Chinese TAVR center, West China Hospital, between 2015 and 2022, to analyze and characterize the temporal trends in 1-year outcomes.

This study presents a novel reflective fiber Fabry-Perot (F-P) salinity sensor. The sensor employs a femtosecond laser to fabricate an open liquid cavity, facilitating the unobstructed ingress and egress of the liquid, thereby enabling the direct involvement of the liquid in light transmission. Herein, we report the very first example of the controlled multi-dimensional assembly of calcium carbonate particles at the micrometer scale with industrial by-product carbide slag and CO.
