Background: The diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) comorbid with epilepsy have been insufficiently addressed in China. We conducted a study in China to investigate the current status, diagnosis, and treatment of ADHD in children to further our understanding of ADHD comorbid with epilepsy, strengthen its management, and improve patients' quality of life.

Methods: We carried out a multicenter cross-sectional survey of children with epilepsy across China between March 2022 and August 2022.

Haplotype-based association analysis has several advantages over single-SNP association analysis. However, to date all haplotype-disease associations have not excluded recombination interference among multiple loci and hence some results might be confounded by recombination interference. Association of sister haplotypes with a complex disease, based on recombination disequilibrium (RD) was presented.

Targeting cancer epigenetic pathways with small-molecule compounds: Therapeutic efficacy and combination therapies.

Pharmacol Res

November 2021

State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy and Cancer Center, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu 610041, PR China. Electronic address:

Epigenetics mainly refers to covalent modifications to DNA or histones without affecting genomes, which ultimately lead to phenotypic changes in cells or organisms. Given the abundance of regulatory targets in epigenetic pathways and their pivotal roles in tumorigenesis and drug resistance, the development of epigenetic drugs holds a great promise for the current cancer therapy. However, lack of potent, selective, and clinically tractable small-molecule compounds makes the strategy to target cancer epigenetic pathways still challenging.

Although microRNA-26b (miR-26b) has been previously identified as a regulator of cardiac hypertrophy, the specific mechanism remains elusive. Cardiac hypertrophy was induced by thoracic aortic constriction (TAC) in mice. Four weeks after surgery, the cardiac hypertrophy mice model was successfully established.

In the study, we developed a novel formulation, CD123 mono-antibody (mAb) modified tanshinone ⅡA loaded immunoliposome (CD123-TanⅡA-ILP) to achieve the targeted drug delivery for leukemia cells. Orthogonal test was used to optimize liposome preparation, and the TanⅡA-loaded PEGylated liposomes (TanⅡA-LP) of S100PC-Chol-(mPEG2000-DSPE)-TanⅡA at 19∶5∶1∶1 molar ratio were prepared by the thin film hydration-probe ultrasonic method. A post-insertion method was applied to prepare CD123-TanⅡA-ILP via thiolated mAb conjugated to the terminal of maleimide-PEG2000-DSPE.

A novel immunoliposome mediated by CD123 antibody targeting to acute myeloid leukemia cells.

Int J Pharm

August 2017

Key Laboratory of Drug Targeting and Drug Delivery System, Ministry of Education & West China School of Pharmacy, Sichuan University, No.17, Section 3, Southern Renmin Road, Chengdu 610041, PR China.

The application of the tumor targeting antibody-mediated immunoliposomes (ILP) provides us a potential effective strategy for treating malignancies, such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML). CD123, which is specifically overexpressed on AML cells, plays an important role in cell cycling and enhances the cell resistance to the apoptotic stimuli. Given such a unique role of CD123 in AML cells, we aim to develop a novel drug targeting delivery system using CD123 monoclonal antibody (mAb) in this study.

A novel niosomal delivery system was designed and investigated for the targeted delivery of daunorubicin (DNR) against acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Anti-CD123 antibodies conjugated to Mal-PEG-DSPE were incorporated into normal niosomes (NS) via a post insertion method to afford antibody-modified niosomes (CD123-NS). Next, NS was modified with varying densities of antibody (0.

Mental health problems among children and adolescents experiencing two major earthquakes in remote mountainous regions: A longitudinal study.

Compr Psychiatry

January 2017

Institute of Emergency Management and Reconstruction in Post-disaster, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Electronic address:

Objective: Millions of children were exposed to major earthquake in China, with serious psychological and developmental consequences. To obtain accurate rate of post-disaster related disorder and identify predictors may help inform post-disaster rescue and rehabilitation efforts. The present longitudinal study explored correlations of demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of juvenile survivors of the Ya'an and Wenchuan earthquakes in China with their trajectories of post-disaster related disorder.

[Construction of pVAX-WIF-1 Eukaryotic Expression Vector and Its Anti-tumor Effect on Lung Cancer].

Zhongguo Fei Ai Za Zhi

July 2015

State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy and Cancer Center, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, 610041 Chengdu, China.

Background And Objective: WIF-1 is an important tumor-suppressing gene in lung cancer, and its encoding protein WIF-1 can reduce proliferation and promote apoptosis by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin signaling in lung cancer. This study constructs a eukaryotic expression plasmid carrying WIF-1 using FDA-approved clinical plasmid pVAX and explores the anti-tumor effect of pVAX-WIF-1 on A549 lung cancer cells in vitro and vivo.

Methods: The DNA fragment of human WIF-1 coding sequence was amplified by PCR and was cloned into the multiple cloning sites of eukaryotic expression vector pVAX to construct pVAX-WIF-1.

Zhonghua Wei Chang Wai Ke Za Zhi

September 2009

Department of General Surgery, Sichuan Provincial People' Hospital, Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences, Chengdu, China.

Objective: To investigate the distribution of mast cells (MC) in colon tissue of Hirschsprung disease (HD) and explore the role of mast cells in the pathogenesis of HD.

Methods: Forty-one cases of HD (male 23, female 18), age from 2 months to 15 years, and eight age-matched normal cases were enrolled in this study. The distribution of MC in all layers of colon was examined by immunohistochemistry with mouse antihuman mast cell tryptase monoclonal antibody.

We investigated the effect of isoprostanes (IsoPs) on potassium (K+)-depolarization-evoked release of [3H]dopamine from isolated bovine retinae. Isolated retinae were preloaded with [3H]dopamine and then prepared for studies of [3H]dopamine release using the superfusion method. 8-iso(15R)PGF 2alpha, 8-isoPGE2, 8-isoPGE1 and 8-isoPGF 2alpha attenuated [3H]dopamine release from isolated bovine retinae.

Thirty cases of autoimmune thyroiditis (AT) were treated with thyroid immune liquor (TIL). The results showed that the activity of erythrocyte C3b receptor and erythrocyte immune adherence enhancing factor were significantly increased, while erythrocyte immune complex and erythrocyte immune adherence inhibiting factor were decreased. The thyroid microsome-antibody and thyroid globulin-antibody were also significantly decreased.
