Introduction: Follicle development is a critical process in the female reproductive system, with significant implications for fertility and reproductive health. Germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes are primary oocytes that are arrested in the dictyate stage, also known as the diplotene stage of meiotic prophase I. Metaphase II (MII) is the stage at which the oocyte is typically retrieved for assisted reproductive technologies such as fertilization (IVF).

Analysis of predictors of clinical pregnancy and live birth in patients with RIF treated with IVF-ET technology: a cohort study based on a propensity score approach.

Objective: To investigate the predictors of clinical pregnancy and live birth rate in patients with recurrent embryo implantation failure (RIF) treated with fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) technique.

Method: This retrospective cohort study was conducted in Jinjiang District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China. Patients were recruited who were enrolled at this hospital between November 1, 2019 and August 31, 2022, and who met the following criteria: a frozen embryo transfer (FET) at day 5 or 6 blastocyst stage was performed and the number of transfer cycles was not less than two.

Integration of hepatitis B virus into patients' sperm genome and its clinical risks.

Background: Like the coronavirus disease 2019, the hepatitis B virus is also wreaking havoc worldwide, which has infected over 2 billion people globally. Using an experimental animal model, our previous research observed that the hepatitis B virus genes integrated into human spermatozoa can replicate and express after being transmitted to embryos. However, as of now, this phenomenon has not been confirmed in clinical data from patients.

Exploring the effectiveness of endometrial receptivity array and immune profiling in patients with multiple implantation failure：A retrospective cohort study based on propensity score matching.

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the endometrial receptivity array (ERA), endometrial immune profiling, and a combination of both in improving the pregnancy outcomes for multiple implantation failure patients. According to patients' willingness, 1429 women who incurred at least two or more consecutive implantation failures in IVF/ICSI treatment opted for frozen embryo transfer and were divided into four groups: 'No test', 'Immune Profiling', 'ERA' and 'ERA+ Immune Profiling'. Women in three test groups underwent timed endometrial biopsy for ERA, immune profiling, a combination of both.

Background: Transvaginal oocyte retrieval is frequently followed by adverse events related to anesthesia and the procedure. Some research showed that transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) can relieve intraoperative pain and postoperative nausea.

Objective: This study examined whether TEAS can alleviate pain and relieve adverse symptoms after oocyte retrieval.

However, whether and how dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), a key region within the CCN, is altered in menstrual pain is unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate alterations in the DLPFC functional connectivity network in patients with primary dysmenorrhea (PDM).

An intronic enhancer of Cebpa regulates adipocyte differentiation and adipose tissue development via long-range loop formation.

Cebpa is a master transcription factor gene for adipogenesis. However, the mechanisms of enhancer-promoter chromatin interactions controlling Cebpa transcriptional regulation during adipogenic differentiation remain largely unknown. To reveal how the three-dimensional structure of Cebpa changes during adipogenesis, we generated high-resolution chromatin interactions of Cebpa in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and 3T3-L1 adipocytes using circularized chromosome conformation capture sequencing (4C-seq).

Background: Over the past decade, acupuncture in the perioperative period has attracted great interest, and a growing number of related literature has been published.

Purpose: To analyze the general information and identify the research hotspots and trends of acupuncture in perioperative medicine in the last 10 years by bibliometric analysis.

Methods: We searched the Web of Science Core Collection for publications on acupuncture in perioperative medicine from 2013 to 2023.
