Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of Erzhu Jiedu Decoction (EZJDD) Granules in treating mid-advanced hepatitis B virus-associated primary liver cancer (HBV-PLC) patients with Pi (Spleen)-deficiency and dampness-heat syndrome.
Methods: From January 2021 to June 2023, a cohort of 132 patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to a control group or a EZJDD group according to the random numbers, with 66 patients in each group. The patients in the control group received conventional treatment for 3 months, followed by a 3-month follow-up.

To investigate the interventional effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMMSC) transplantation with different doses of X-ray irradiation induced hepatic injury in mice. Eighteen female C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into 0, 2, and 3 Gy irradiation groups and 0, 2, and 3 Gy transplantation groups. The irradiation group was used as the control and injected with an equal volume of culture medium.

Background: Renal hypoxia and ischemia significantly contribute to chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression, underscoring the need for noninvasive quantitative assessments. This study employs blood oxygenation level-dependent magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-MRI) and arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI to comprehensively evaluate renal oxygenation and blood flow in CKD patients.
Methods: Forty-two CKD patients across stages 1-5 and ten healthy volunteers underwent simultaneous BOLD-MRI and ASL-MRI.

Background: Although high mobility group box protein 1 () has been researched in relation to cancer in many investigations, a thorough investigation of its role in pan-cancer has yet to be conducted. With the objective of bridging this gap, we delved into the functions of in various tumors.
Methods: This investigation employed The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases to examine gene expression differences and correlation with survival across various human tumors.

Objectives: Gentiopicroside is an effective treatment for several types of cancer, inducing numerous forms of programmed cancer cell death. However, there are few investigations into the role of necroptosis. By utilizing molecular docking, and experimental validation, this study aims to investigate whether gentiopicroside elicits necroptosis in gastric cancer.

Background: The relationship between high sodium intake (HSI) and hypertensive heart disease (HHD) has been confirmed. However, notable regional disparities exist in implementing effective measures to control sodium intake. This study was carried out to estimate the spatiotemporal trends in the burden of HHD attributable to HSI.

Background: Lung cancer is characterized by high morbidity and mortality due to the lack of practical early diagnostic and prognostic tools. The present study uses machine learning algorithms to construct a clinical predictive model for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.
Methods: Laboratory indices of the NSCLC patients at their initial visit were collected for quality control and exploratory analysis.

Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and gut microbiota (GM) are epidemiologically correlated but the causal inter-relationships remain poorly understood. We aim to explore the causal relationships between GM and PBC. Using the MiBioGen consortium, GWAS data for GM at the species level and the largest publicly available PBC GWAS data to date, we performed a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization by the inverse variance weighted, MR-Egger, weighted median, weighted model and MR-PRESSO to elucidate the potential causal role of GM in PBC.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) exhibits a substantial morbidity and mortality rate, with its aetiology and pathogenesis remain elusive. It holds significant importance within the tumour microenvironment (TME) and exerts a crucial regulatory influence on tumorigenesis, progression, and metastasis. TAMs possess the capability to foster CRC pathogenesis, proliferation, invasion, and metastasis, as well as angiogenesis, immune evasion, and tumour resistance.

Contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) is one of the main causes of hospital-acquired renal failure, and still lacks of effective treatments. Previously, we demonstrated that αKlotho, which is an anti-aging protein that highly expresses in the kidney, has therapeutic activity in CI-AKI through promoting autophagy. However, the specific mechanism underlying αKlotho-mediated autophagy remains unclear.

Background: This study aims to evaluate the mediation effect of dyslipidemia induced inflammation on the causal associations between obesity and Osteoarthritis (OA).
Methods: This cross-sectional study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (1999-2010). The association between general and abdominal obesity (exposure), OA (outcome) and mediators (total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, and C-reactive protein) was assessed using multivariate linear and logistic regression models and mediation analysis.

Background: Meningiomas are the most common intracranial tumors and their diagnosis relies mostly on neuroimaging and histology. However, the histology grades cannot predict the outcome exactly and some meningiomas tend to recur after resection of even benign tumors. Therefore, it is necessary to explore prognostic and diagnostic molecular targets.
