Copper-zinc-tin CuZnSn (CZT) thin films are promising materials for solar cell applications. This thin film was deposited on a fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) using an electrochemical deposition hierarchy. X-ray diffraction of thin-film studies confirms the variation in the structural orientation of CZT on the FTO surface.

We developed a novel chromogenic reagent and sensor by selective approach, for the detection and identification of dichlorvos, which we tested with the thin layer chromatography method. For the first time, we reported in situ-generated glyoxal as a hydrolysis product, which then interacts with isoniazid to produce a yellow-colored cyclic compound. We used well-known spectroscopic techniques to confirm the chemical identity of the final product.

Melghat Plant databank (MPdb) is the first attempt to review all the past floristic documents and medicinal plants and digitize the Melghat Flora. This curated database contains compiled information about 1028 plants from 139 plant families and 537 genera. Curated medicinal plant information gathered 660 medicinal species records from 128 plant families and 421 genera in MPdb for Melghat Flora.

All across the globe, India is considered as an agricultural nation because its agro products drive the economy. An increase in population growth and a hike in food demands lead to the use of hazardous chemicals in farm fields. An in-depth field survey in Northern India was conducted to understand the types of agrochemicals that were used, farmers' knowledge about their safe handling, and their practices on its usage.

This paper reports the energy transfer from Gd to Eu in YF and the consequent downconversion luminescence for the YF :Gd , Eu fluoride phosphor. The phosphor was synthesized using a soft chemical route, followed by a reactive atmosphere process. Because of the wide band gap in YF and the correct energy site for S - G transitions of Gd ions, fluoride YF doped with Gd -Eu were studied in their vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) spectral regions.

This work presents the facile synthesis of Ni, Mn, Zn, Cu and Co spinel ferrite nanocrystals sol-gel auto-ignition and the investigation of their structural and gamma ray shielding characteristics. Experimentally, gamma ray shielding parameters are determined with different gamma ray sources and NaI(Tl) scintillation detector and theoretically Monte-Carlo simulation (Geant4) as well as NIST-XCOM database. X-ray diffractograms elucidate the cubic spinel structure without any contaminating phases for all synthesized nano-ferrites.

Oleic acid-coated cobalt ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized using the chemical co-precipitation route and characterized by standard techniques for structure, morphology, and magnetic properties analysis. The Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of CoFeO nanoparticles indicated the formation of a cubic-spinel single-phase structure with the F3̅ space group. The average crystallite size (∼12 nm) confirmed the nanocrystalline appearance of the prepared CoFeO nanoparticles.

The as-prepared spinel thin films were characterized by thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TGA-DTA) to comprehensively examine their phase transition. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the prepared films have a single-phase face-centered cubic crystal structure.

A sucrose derived carbon quantum dots/polyaniline (S-CQD/PANI) nanocomposite was synthesized as electrode materials by electrodeposition method to achieve excellent electrocapacitive performance for supercapacitor application. The morphology reveals that CQD were distributed uniformly over the surface of PANI. The highest specific capacitance obtained to be 1512.

Intense near-infrared (NIR) emitting phosphors Ca (PO ) Cl:Eu ,Nd were synthesized using a conventional solid-state reaction method and characterized using X-ray diffraction, reflectance, photoluminescence (PL) emission and PL excitation (PLE) spectroscopy, and PL lifetime measurements. The emission could be excited by broad band radiation in the nUV region as a consequence of Eu →Nd energy transfer. The efficiency of Eu →Nd energy transfer was as high as 80.

2-hydroxy-5-chloro-3-nitroacetophenone isonicotinoyl hydrazone as a Schiff base ligand and its complexes with Cr(III), Mn(III), Fe(III), VO(IV), Zr(IV) and UO2(VI) metal ions have been synthesized. The ligands as well as their metal complexes were well characterized using various physicochemical techniques such as elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic measurements, thermal analysis, electronic and IR spectral studies. On the basis of these studies, square pyramidal stereochemistry for Mn(III) and VO(IV) complexes while octahedral stereochemistry for all the other complexes have been suggested.

The aqueous solution of fluorescein-para sulfonato calix[4]arene-metal ion complex has been studied based on absorption, fluorescence, (1)H NMR and FTIR spectroscopic results. It was found that the fluorescence intensity quenched regularly upon addition of pSCX4 and metal ion. The quenching constants and binding constants were determined for pSCX4-FL and pSCX4-FL-Cu(2+) systems.

Objectives: Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is a common gynecological finding among the women worldwide. Candida species are often less susceptible to antifungal agents. Owing to this fact, in this study, we aimed at assessing the prevalence rate and antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of various azoles against Candida species causing VVC in symptomatic women.

Background: Genetic relationships among the ethnic groups are not uniform across the geographical region. Considering this assumption, we analyzed the frequency of the CC-chemokine receptor-5 (CCR5)-∆32 allele of the CCR5 chemokine receptor, which is considered a Caucasian marker, in Bhil tribal and Brahmin caste sample sets from the population.
Materials And Methods: 108 blood samples were collected from 6 tribe's populations and a caste population from the district of Vidarbha region.

The thick-film semiconductor sensor for liquid petroleum gas (LPG) detection was fabricated using a mixed WO(3)-based sensor. We present the characterization of both their structural properties by means of XRD measurements and the electrical characteristics by using gas-sensing properties. The sensing characteristics such as sensitivity, working range, cross-sensitivity and response time were studied by using nanosized WO(3)-based mixed with different metal oxides (SnO(2), TiO(2) and In(2)O(3)) and doped with noble metals (Au, Pd and Pt).
