Background: There is little information about comparison of the mortality patterns in different regions. The current study aimed to assess the trend changes of liver cancer mortality in 6 WHO regions.
Methods: The mortality rates of liver cancer in the 6 WHO regions during 1990 to 2017 were extracted from the Global Burden of Disease database.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the status of intestinal parasitic infections in immunocompromised patients in Bushehr province, southwest Iran by conventional and molecular methods.
Methods: A total of 201 stool samples were collected from kidney transplant recipients, AIDS patients and patients under chemotherapy. Samples were collected from healthy people as the control group.

Objective: The relationship between drug resistance and the expression of hexokinase (HK) has been indicated in leishmaniasis. According to the prolonged treatment period in cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) patients co-infected with in Iran, this study aims to investigate the expression of HK in the proteome of and using a proteomic approach.
Methods: A total of 205 samples were removed from the lesions of patients in Fars province, Iran, for the characterization of and using polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the physical, chemical and microbiological contamination of indoor swimming pools.
Methods: Pool water specimens were collected using a plastic polypropylene sterilized bottle. The physical and chemical qualities of the waters were analyzed in terms of temperature, turbidity, pH, and free residual chlorine, with the standard methods for the examination of water.

So far 10 genotypes of this parasite have been identified, using molecular methods. The current study aimed to evaluate and compare the genotypic diversity of metacestodes from livestock of Turkey and Iran.
