In the context of the global damage caused by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the emergence of the monkeypox virus (MPXV) outbreak as a public health emergency of international concern, research into methods that can rapidly test potential therapeutics during an outbreak of a new infectious disease is urgently needed. Computational drug discovery is an effective way to solve such problems. The existence of various large open databases has mitigated the time and resource consumption of traditional drug development and improved the speed of drug discovery.

Objective: Bipolar affective disorder (BAD) is a mood disorder with high morbidity and mortality. Quetiapine can be used in the treatment of patients with BAD; however, the precise administration regimen of quetiapine in these patients is still unknown. In this study, a population pharmacokinetic (PPK) model of quetiapine in patients with BAD was constructed based on model-informed precision dosing (MIPD) and real-world clinical data and an optimal initial dose of quetiapine in these patients was recommended.

Background: Children infected with human adenovirus (HAdV) were at particularly high risk of developing severe disease, but the risk factors of severe conditions are poorly understood.
Objectives: To explore the risk factors for developing into severe conditions in pediatric patients with HAdV infection by analyzing baseline epidemiological data, clinical characteristics, and computed tomography (CT) imaging features.
Methods: In this retrospective study, 267 children with HAdV infection were included between October 2016 and September 2021 at Tongji Hospital, Wuhan, China.

Background: Maternal colonization with Group B Streptococcus (GBS) disrupts the vaginal microbiota, potentially affecting infant microbiota assembly and growth. While the gut microbiota's importance in infant growth is recognized, the specific effects of maternal GBS on growth remain unclear. This study aimed to explore the effects of maternal vaginal GBS during pregnancy on early infant growth, microbiome, and metabolomics.

Background: Recurrent implantation failure (RIF) is characterized by the repeated failure of implantation, often linked to impaired endometrial receptivity. This study investigates how granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) promotes endometrial stromal cell decidualization.
Methods: THESCs (human telomerase reverse transcriptase-immortalized endometrial stromal cells) were used as an in vitro cell model to induce decidualization.

Background: Exposure to metal could impact women's depression risk. However, the connection and mechanisms between metalloestrogens exposure and depression are still not fully understood. We aim to explore the associations between metalloestrogens and the risk of depression in women across reproductive lifespan.

Background: Maternal sleep disturbance is a risk factor for adverse outcomes like preterm birth. However, the association of maternal sleep quality and duration with the risk of the infant being small for gestational age (SGA) remains inconclusive, and the specific critical window of vulnerability has yet to be clearly identified. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of maternal sleep quality and duration on the risk of having an SGA infant and to identify the critical window for this association.

In the context of delayed marriage and parenthood, decreased willingness in having children, and population aging in China, maternal and child health has become an important and urgent issue. Being essential platforms for research in maternal and child health, the importance of birth cohorts has been widely recognized. In the past 20 years, tens of birth cohorts have been established in major cities and regions of China, with cohorts ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands.

Decidual CD8T (dCD8T) cells are pivotal in the maintenance of the delicate balance between immune tolerance towards the fetus and immune resistance against pathogens. The endometrium and decidua represent the uterine environments before and during pregnancy, respectively, yet the composition and phenotypic alterations of uterine CD8T cells in these tissues remain unclear. Using flow cytometry and analysis of transcriptome profiles, we demonstrated that human dCD8T and endometrial CD8T (eCD8T) cells exhibited similar T cell differentiation statuses and phenotypes of tissue infiltrating or residency, compared to peripheral CD8T (pCD8T) cells.

Through a comprehensive examination of pyroptosis-related differential expressed genes (PRDEGs), this work investigates the molecular complexities of spontaneous preterm birth (SPTB), also known as premature delivery, before the due date. Through the process of merging and correcting batch effects in the GSE120480 and GSE73714 datasets, we were able to identify 36 PRDEGs that exhibited significant expression differentiation in SPTB. Through functional enrichment and pathway analysis, their importance in amino acid transport and cytokine receptor interaction has been highlighted.

Introduction And Aims: Observational studies suggest an association between metabolic syndrome (MetS) and periodontitis. However, observational studies are susceptible to reverse causation and confounding factors, so the causality of this association is uncertain. Causal association between compounds of MetS and periodontitis has been well studied.

Introduction: Early identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is critical for effective intervention. Restricted interests (RIs), a subset of repetitive behaviors, are a prominent but underutilized domain for early ASD diagnosis. This study aimed to identify objective biomarkers for ASD by integrating electroencephalography (EEG) and eye-tracking (ET) to analyze toddlers' visual attention and cortical responses to RI versus neutral interest (NI) objects.

The dynamic tracking of antibody‒drug conjugates (ADCs) in serum is crucial. However, a versatile bioanalytical platform is lacking due to serious matrix interferences, the heterogeneity and complex biotransformation of ADCs, and the recognition deficiencies of traditional affinity technologies. To overcome this, a multiepitope recognition technology (MERT) was developed by simultaneously immobilizing CDR and non-CDR ligands onto MOF@AuNPs.
