This study aimed to investigate the long-term clinical efficacy and safety of inferior turbinate submucosal plasma ablation combined with or without tonsillar and adenoid surgery in children with allergic rhinitis(AR) combined with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS) who were ineffective after conservative systemic treatment. A total of 43 children with AR complicated with OSAS who met the inclusion criteria among 68 children hospitalized from January 2019 to February 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The data were collected, including the clinical characteristics, surgical methods perioperative management and prevention and treatment of complications.

Background: The prognosis of patients undergoing lung cancer treatment might be influenced by mental health status. Resilience is one of the important predictors to reflect the mental health status. It has been shown that patients with higher levels of social support, self-care self-efficacy, and positive coping have greater resilience.

Background: Although autologous fat grafting is a feasible surgical technique to improve facial deformity in patients with localized scleroderma, its success is limited by the low graft retention induced by the local inflammatory environment. This study investigated the potential effect of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) on skin fibrosis and fat retention in a localized scleroderma mouse model.
Methods: BALB/C nude mice that were induced by bleomycin to establish a localized scleroderma model were divided randomly into five groups: blank control; fat grafting; and low, moderate, and high doses of ASC-assisted fat grafting.

Objective: The objective is to explore the nursing methods of evidence-based nursing in preventing serious complications in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension.
Methods: A total of 80 patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension from April 2020 to April 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a research group, with 40 cases in each group. The blood pressure, Self-Efficacy Scale score, Disease Uncertainty Scale score, the incidence of maternal and infant complications, the improvement of mental state, and the patients' satisfaction with the nursing program were observed and compared between the two groups.

Purpose: To incorporate small non-rigid variations of head and neck patients into the robust evaluation of intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT) for the selection of robust treatment plans.
Methods: A cohort of 20 nasopharynx cancer patients with weekly kilovoltage CT (kVCT) and 15 oropharynx cancer patients with weekly cone-beam CT (CBCT) were retrospectively included. Anatomical variations between week 0/week 1 of treatment were acquired using deformable image registration (DIR) for all 35 patients and then applied to the planning CT of four patients who have kVCT scanned each week to simulate potential small non-rigid variations (sNRVs).

Breast cancer is a highly harmful malignancy, which often causes great distress to patients and seriously affects their physical and mental health. Breast cancer causes patients to experience decreased appetite, decreased eating, and indigestion, which in turn leads to malnutrition, body wasting, resistance, immune compromise, progressive anemia, cachexia, and, as a result, severe secondary infections. To investigate the efficacy evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer by MRI, forty-eight subjects treated at the hospital from June 2014 to August 2019 were recruited.

Background: Delirium is common among critically ill patients, leading to increased mortality, physical dependence, and cognitive impairment. Evidence suggests non-pharmacological delirium prevention practices are effective in preventing delirium. However, only a few studies explore the actual implementation and its associated challenges among critical care nurses.

Objective: This research aims to investigate the expression of miR-133a-5p in glioma tissues and its impact on glioma cell proliferation.
Methods: Fluorescence-quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression of miR-133a-5p in 25 cases of glioma and adjuncent tissues. CCK-8 and colony formation analyses were used to evaluate the impact of transfection with miR-133a-5p inhibitors or mimics on glioma cell growth and colony formation.

Zinc is becoming one of the leading candidate materials for biodegradable orthopedic implants owing to its attractive properties in terms of degradation behavior and mechanical properties. However, the insufficient surface bio-activities postpone its clinical application. In this study, an organic-inorganic collagen entrapped calcium/zinc phosphates coating was constructed on Zn surface to lessen Zn releasing rate and to leverage the surface osteogenic and angiogenic properties.

: Demyelination is a major component of white matter injury, characterized by oligodendrocyte (OL) death and myelin sheath loss, which result in memory loss and cognitive impairment in the context of ischemic stroke. Accumulating evidence has shown that OLs can be generated by the direct activation of defined transcription factors (TFs) in human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs); however, the rapid acquisition of single TF-induced OL progenitor cells (OPCs) as cell therapy for ischemic stroke remains to be thoroughly explored. : A stable, chemically defined protocol was used to generate a substantial number of transplantable and functional OLs through the partial inhibition of sonic hedgehog (Shh) activity by GANT61 during neural induction from hiPSCs and sequential induction of TF Olig2 overexpression.

There is little known of immunologic factors leading to the occurrence of occult HBV infection (OBI). Specific cellular immune response to hepatitis B virus (HBV) core/pol peptides was compared between blood donor populations, including 37 OBIs, 53 chronic HBV infections (CHB), 47 resolved infections, and 56 non-infected controls, respectively. The rate of CD4/CD8 T cell proliferation in OBI or CHB carriers was higher than in HBV resolved and non-infected individuals ( < 0.

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the leading cause of gynecological cancer-related death. The high mortality and morbidity associated with EOC are mostly due to late diagnosis and chemotherapy drug resistance. Currently, the standard first-line chemotherapy regimen is systemic administration of platinum-based chemotherapy combined with a taxane.

RNA binding protein (RBP) plays a key role in gene regulation and participate in RNA translation, modification, splicing, transport and other important biological processes. Studies have shown that abnormal expression of RBP is associated with a variety of diseases. The Musashi (Msi) family of mammals is an evolutionarily conserved and powerful RBP, whose members Msi1 and Msi2 play important roles in the regulation of stem cell activity and tumor development.

Background: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the radiation dose delivered to dental structures in intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) without dental dose constraints, compare the dosimetry differences of dental structures between the two radiation techniques, and determine whether dental structures should be one of the organs at risk for IMRT and VMAT plans according to the dosimetric analysis.
Materials And Methods: A total of 138 head and neck cancer patients (nasopharyngeal, oral cavity, pharyngeal, hypopharynx, and larynx), who underwent IMRT (69 patients) or VMAT (69 patients) from March 2016 to March 2021 in our hospital, were included to assess the dosimetry difference between two radiotherapy techniques for dental structures.
Results: The radiation dose delivered by IMRT and the mean maximum doses delivered by VMAT to the maxillary teeth of nasopharyngeal cancer patients were significantly higher than the dose received by the mandibular teeth.
