Compare the spine's stability after laminectomy (LN) and laminoplasty (LP) for two posterior surgeries. Simultaneously, design a new vertebral titanium porous mini plate (TPMP) to achieve firm fixation of the open-door vertebral LP fully. The objective is to enhance the fixation stability, effectively prevent the possibility of "re-closure," and may facilitate bone healing.

Osteoporosis (OP) is a prevalent age-related disease that is characterized by a decrease in bone mineral density (BMD) and systemic bone microarchitectural disorders. With age, senescent cells accumulate and exhibit the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) in bone tissue, leading to the imbalance of bone homeostasis, osteopenia, changes in trabecular bone structure, and increased bone fragility. Cellular senescence in the bone microenvironment involves osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs), whose effects on bone homeostasis are regulated by epigenetics.

Notch signaling pathway is a highly conserved signaling pathway in the process of evolution. It is composed of three parts: Notch receptor, ligand and effector molecules responsible for intracellular signal transduction. It plays an important role in cell proliferation, differentiation, development, migration, apoptosis and other processes, and has a regulatory effect on tissue homeostasis and homeostasis.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are used to treat infectious and immune diseases and disorders; however, its mechanism(s) remain incompletely defined. Here we find that bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) lacking Pinch1/2 proteins display dramatically reduced ability to suppress lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced inflammatory bowel disease in mice. Prx1-Cre; Pinch1; Pinch2 transgenic mice have severe defects in both immune and hematopoietic functions, resulting in premature death, which can be restored by intravenous injection of wild-type BMSCs.

However, the underlying molecular mechanism remains obscure. In the present study, we aimed to explore the underlying mechanisms of FZT in treating GA by virtual screening combined with experimental verification.

Background: The occurrence of gout is closely related to metabolism, but there is still a lack of evidence on the causal role of metabolites in promoting or preventing gout.
Methods: We applied a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to assess the association between 486 serum metabolites and gout using genome-wide association study statistics. The inverse variance weighting method was used to generate the main results, while sensitivity analyses using MR-Egger, weighted median, Cochran's Q test, Egger intercept test, and leave-one-out analysis, were performed to assess the stability and reliability of the results.
In order to help China achieve the double carbon target of total carbon peak and high-quality sustainable economic development, and to enrich the work and content of energy conservation and emission reduction in the building sector, the most complex and energy-consuming hospitals are taken as the key projects for energy conservation and emission reduction to carry out feasibility studies. The reasons for the high energy consumption of the existing hospital buildings were analysed, and it was proposed to upgrade the existing systems (including air conditioning, hot water system and intelligent control system) and to generate photovoltaic power for the existing buildings, taking into account the characteristics of the local climate. The results of the study showed that the energy saving and emission reduction effect of the hospital was obvious after the programme was adopted.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is closely related to innate and adaptive inflammatory immune responses. It is increasingly becoming evident that metabolic syndrome (MetS) affects a significant portion of COPD patients. Through this investigation, we identify shared immune-related candidate biological markers.

Although previous studies have suggested that meteorological factors are associated with Bell's palsy, articles on this topic are rare and the results are inconsistent. We aim to reveal the relationship between exposure to different meteorological factors and the onset of severe Bell's palsy (SBP) with daily data. A case-crossover study based on time-series data was applied, and the minimum risk value of each climatic factor was set as the reference value.

Porous titanium alloy implants with simulated trabecular bone fabricated by 3D printing technology have broad prospects. However, due to the fact that some powder adheres to the surface of the workpiece during the manufacturing process, the surface roughness in direct printing pieces is relatively high. At the same time, since the internal pores of the porous structure cannot be polished by conventional mechanical polishing, an alternative method needs to be found.

Objectives: The rat model of heart failure (HF) induced by doxorubicin (DOX), a broad spectrum and highly effective chemotherapeutic anthracycline with high-affinity to myocardial tissue that causes severe dose-dependent irreversible cardiotoxicity has been widely recognized and applied in HF pathogenesis and drug therapy studies. The gut microbiota (GM) has attracted significant attention due to its potential role in HF, and research in this area may provide beneficial therapeutic strategies for HF. Considering the differences in the route, mode, and total cumulative dose of DOX administration used to establish HF models, the optimal scheme for studying the correlation between GM and HF pathogenesis remains to be determined.

To assess the coexistence effect between history of fractures and hypertension on the all-cause death risk of osteoporosis. In this retrospective cohort study, some characteristics of osteoporosis patients aged ≥ 20 years were extracted from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database (2005-2010, 2013-2014), such as age, gender, smoking, drinking, the history of diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, fractures and hypertension. The outcome of this study was defined as all-cause death of osteoporosis.

The rate of UCEC occurrence increases year by year and the age is getting younger and younger, which requires more active treatments to improve its prognosis. Ferroptosis is a kind of regulatory cell death that relies on iron and may be triggered by sorafenib, which has been elucidated in several cancers, but the mechanism of ferroptosis-related genes in UCEC has yet to be fully defined and will need more investigation.

Background: Facet tropism is defined as the asymmetry between the left and right facet joints relative to the sagittal plane. Published clinical studies have found that facet tropism is associated with cervical disc herniation. However, the relationship between the facet orientation and the side of cervical disc herniation remains controversial.

Immune response in the asthmatic respiratory tract is mainly driven by CD4 T helper (Th) cells, represented by Th1, Th2, and Th17 cells, especially Th2 cells. Asthma is a heterogeneous and progressive disease, reflected by distinct phenotypes orchestrated by τh2 or non-Th2 (Th1 and Th17) immune responses at different stages of the disease course. Heterogeneous cytokine expression within the same Th effector state in response to changing conditions and interlineage relationship among CD4 T cells shape the complex immune networks of the inflammatory airway, making it difficult to find one panacea for all asthmatics.
