Introduction: Although the importance of teacher feedback has been confirmed by a great number of studies, the association of head teacher praise and criticism with adolescents' non-cognitive skills still needs more deeper and more extensive research. Therefore, how to improve the non-cognitive skills of adolescents, especially those with disadvantaged family and economic backgrounds, has become a key concern in the field of educational practice.
Methods: Based on CEPS data, this paper used panel regression and PSM-DID methods to analyze the impact of head teacher feedback on an adolescent's non-cognitive skills measured by the big-five personality scale.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn order to enhance the immobilization of heavy metals in the bio-char during microwave pyrolysis, the immobilization efficiency and mechanism of heavy metals in the microwave pyrolysis of sludge with different alkaline catalysts were explored. Results showed that the leaching concentrations of heavy metals reduced greatly after pyrolysis, which were lower when catalyzed by CaO than those of FeO. CaO was more favorable for the immobilization of Cr, Cu, Zn, Pb and Ni while FeO was more favorable for Cd.

Using sludge incineration residue (SIR) to prepare SIR-based geopolymer can realize the minimization and reclamation of urban sludge as well as the stabilization of potential toxic elements. This work has researched the critical factors that influence the formulation of SIR-based geopolymer and the stabilization performance on potential toxic elements. Results showed that the addition amount of SIR had significant influence on the compressive strength of geopolymer, while the modules of sodium silicate and the sodium silicate/metakaolin ratio had little influence thereon.
