Hypertensive disease of pregnancy (HDP) is one of the most important causes of increased maternal mortality and perinatal complications during pregnancy. We investigated the pregnancy outcomes of 156 HDP patients (65 gestational hypertension [GH], 13 chronic hypertension [CH], 74 preeclampsia-eclampsia [PE-EC], and 4 superimposed on PE [CH with PE]). In patients with different types of HDP, levels of soluble fms like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1), placental growth factor (PlGF)-1, and prokinin-1 (PROK1) were measured and compared.

This study aimed to evaluate the treatment outcome of immediate internal fixation combined with primary wound closure in the management of Gustilo-Anderson type IIIA open ankle fractures. We retrospectively assessed the outcomes of thirty-two patients treated using immediate internal fixation combined with primary wound closure with a minimum follow-up of twenty-four months.

Recognition of an extralobar pulmonary sequestration during lung resection.

Background: Extralobar pulmonary sequestration is located outside the lung parenchyma and is covered by a separated pleural sac, which comprises approximately 25% of all pulmonary sequestration.

Case Presentation: This article reported one case of an extralobar pulmonary sequestration originated from the mesoesophagus, which was recognized and excised during a lung resection. Histologic examination revealed an ectopic lung tissue with hyperplasia of bronchioles, which was accord with an extralobar pulmonary sequestration.

Risk prediction and treatment assessment in glioma patients using SEER database: a prospective observational study.

Objectives: To use a nomogram to predict the risk of mortality and estimate the impact of current treatment on the prognosis of glioma patients.

Methods: A total of 3798 cases were obtained from the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results database according to the selection criteria. A nomogram was built on the independent clinical factors screened by the variance inflation factor, univariate analyses and a multivariate Cox regression model.

Comparison of clinical efficacy between chrono-chemotherapy and conventional chemotherapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

This work focused on the clinical efficacy of chrono-chemotherapy and conventional chemotherapy on patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), providing a theoretical basis for the clinical promotion of chrono-chemotherapy. 60 NSCLS patients in our hospital were randomly enrolled into a chrono-chemotherapy group and a conventional chemotherapy group, with 30 cases in each. Patients were treated with the standardized first-line treatment TP regimen (paclitaxel + cisplatin).

Background: We aimed to establish an osteosarcoma prognosis prediction model based on a signature of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related genes.

Methods: Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between osteosarcoma with and without metastasis from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database were mapped to ERS genes retrieved from Gene Set Enrichment Analysis to select endoplasmic reticulum stress-related DEGs. Subsequently, we constructed a risk score model based on survival-related endoplasmic reticulum stress DEGs and a nomogram of independent survival prognostic factors.
