Objective: To investigate the independent risk factors for short-term mortality in patients with spontaneous cerebellar hemorrhage (SCH) based on Mimics software of medical image control system.
Methods: The clinical data of SCH patients treated at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from January, 2010 to December, 2021 was retrospectively analyzed and compared, including gender, age, underlyin g diseases, Glasgow coma scale (GCS) and blood pressure at admission, laboratory indicators, imaging data, and short-term (3 weeks after onset) survival status. The imaging examination parameters were accurately calculated using Mimics software, including hematoma volume, longest diameter, and maximum cross-sectional area of cerebellar hemorrhage.

This study aims to evaluate differences in gut microbiota structures between infertile women undergoing frozen embryo transfer (FET) with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and healthy controls (HCs), and to identify potential markers. We comprehensively enrolled 193 infertile women undergoing FET (discovery cohort: 38 HCs and 31 GDM; validation cohort: 85 HCs and 39 GDM). Gut microbial profiles of the discovery cohort were investigated during the pre-pregnancy (Pre), first trimester (T1), and second trimester (T2).

As a hallmark of cancer, metabolic reprogramming adjusts macromolecular synthesis, energy metabolism and redox homeostasis processes to adapt to and promote the complex biological processes of abnormal growth and proliferation. The complexity of metabolic reprogramming lies in its precise regulation by multiple levels and factors, including the interplay of multiple signalling pathways, precise regulation of transcription factors and dynamic adjustments in metabolic enzyme activity. In this complex regulatory network, acetylation and deacetylation, which are important post-translational modifications, regulate key molecules and processes related to metabolic reprogramming by affecting protein function and stability.

Background: The potential nephrotoxicity of cyclosporine A (CsA) has been a problem for treating graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). However, the relationship between CsA blood concentration and acute kidney injury (AKI) in pediatric patients after allo-HSCT remains unclear.
Methods: We performed a retrospective study including pediatric patients who received allo-HSCT in West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University from 2000 to 2022 and collected their clinical data.

The eukaryotic ribosome is a large ribonucleoprotein complex consisting of four types of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and approximately 80 ribosomal proteins (RPs), forming the 40S and 60S subunits. In all living cells, its primary function is to produce proteins by converting messenger RNA (mRNA) into polypeptides. In addition to their canonical role in protein synthesis, RPs are crucial in controlling vital cellular processes such as cell cycle progression, cellular proliferation, differentiation, DNA damage repair, genome structure maintenance, and the cellular stress response.

Ischemia-reperfusion injury is a serious clinical pathology involving multiple organs such as the heart and brain. The injury results from oxidative stress, inflammatory response and cell death triggered by restoring tissue blood flow after ischemia, leading to severe cell and tissue damage. In recent years, the volume-regulated anion channel (VRAC) has gained attention as an important membrane protein complex.

Background: Uterine cystic adenomyosis is a rare form of focal adenomyosis that is primarily located within the myometrium. In this case report, we present a unique case of adult uterine cystic adenomyosis found outside the uterus following laparoscopic myomectomy.
Case Presentation: The patient was a 36-year-old Chinese woman who had previously undergone laparoscopic surgery at our hospital to remove a 4 cm diameter diameter uterine fibroid six years prior.

Background: This study aims to explore the value of habitat-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics for predicting the origin of brain metastasis (BM).
Purpose: To investigate whether habitat-based radiomics can identify the metastatic tumor type of BM and whether an imaging-based model that integrates the volume of peritumoral edema (VPE) can enhance predictive performance.
Methods: A primary cohort was developed with 384 patients from two centers, which comprises 734 BM lesions.

Immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have transformed the treatment paradigm for advanced-stage squamous non-small-cell lung cancer (LUSC), a histological subtype associated with inferior outcomes compared with lung adenocarcinoma. However, only a subset of patients derive durable clinical benefit. In the first-line setting, multiple ICI regimens are available, including anti-PD-(L)1 antibodies as monotherapy, in combination with chemotherapy, or with an anti-CTLA4 antibody with or without chemotherapy.

Preeclampsia (PE) is a multifactorial disorder of pregnancy, characterized by new-onset gestational hypertension. High-throughput mRNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was performed to analyze the gene expression patterns in placentas from patients with early-onset PE (EOPE). PR domain zinc-finger protein 1 (PRDM1) expression increased in the chorionic villi and placental basal plate from patients with PE and nitro--arginine methyl ester (L-NAME)-treated rats.

Circular RNA (circRNA) was first discovered in viruses in 1974, they are primarily formed through back-splicing, where a downstream splice donor is joined to an upstream splice acceptor, resulting in a closed circRNA transcript. Under normal conditions, most circRNAs are stably expressed, however, in pathological conditions, circRNAs can play critical roles in the disease process of multiple myeloma (MM) through mechanisms such as competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), regulation of transcription and splicing, affecting protein expression and localization, and even direct encoding of peptides. In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the role of circRNAs in MM and their regulatory functions during the disease process.

Hydrogen sulfide (HS)-mediated protein S-sulfhydration has been shown to play critical roles in several diseases. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are the predominant population of immune cells present within solid tumor tissues, and they function to restrict antitumor immunity. However, no previous study has investigated the role of protein S-sulfhydration in TAM reprogramming in breast cancer (BC).

The lack of knowledge about the mechanism of hyperoxia-induced intestinal injury has attracted considerable attention, due to the potential for this condition to cause neonatal complications. This study aimed to explore the relationship between hyperoxia-induced oxidative damage and ferroptosis in intestinal tissue and investigate the mechanism by which hyperoxia regulates inflammation through ferroptosis. The study systematically evaluated the effects of hyperoxia on oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage, ferroptosis, and inflammation of intestinal epithelial cells both in vitro and in vivo.
