We conducted a comprehensive review of studies from 2000 to 2024 on MRI safety during pregnancy, focusing on 3 T MRI and gadolinium use.

Clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients with nonrheumatic streptococcal pharyngitis associated myocarditis.

Background: Reports of nonrheumatic streptococcal pharyngitis associated myocarditis (SPAM) are rare, and its incidence, pathophysiology, and clinical features remain unclear. We evaluated the clinical course and outcome of patients diagnosed with nonrheumatic SPAM, with a particular focus on differentiating it from other etiologies of myocarditis.

Methods: Seventy-nine consecutive individuals (age 32±9 years, 71 men) with clinically diagnosed SPAM were evaluated.

Objective: Machine learning (ML), a subtype of artificial intelligence (AI), presents predictive modeling and dynamic diagnostic tools to facilitate early interventions and improve decision-making. Considering the global challenges of maternal, fetal, and neonatal morbidity and mortality, ML holds the potential to enable significant improvements in maternal and neonatal health outcomes. We aimed to conduct a comprehensive review of ML applications in peripartum care, summarizing the potential of these tools to enhance clinical decision-making and identifying emerging trends and research gaps.

Semi-Branched Endovascular Aortic Repair: A New Feature in the Treatment of Complex Aortic Aneurysms.

Purpose: To report a case series on using a novel semi-branch feature in custom-made stent-grafts in the endovascular treatment of complex aortic aneurysms and summarize the contemporary usage of this technology.

Case Series: Four patients underwent endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) with a custom-made semi-branch stent-graft (Semi-Branch Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair [SBEVAR]). Two male patients, 75- and 76-year-old, were treated due to failed EVAR with late-type Ia endoleak, and the other two, 80- and 55-year-old male patients, due to a juxta-renal aortic abdominal aneurysm (JRAAA).

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is a potentially life-saving treatment for children with relapsed/refractory B-cell hematologic malignancies, and remains an important investigational therapy for other childhood cancers. Using a series of case-based discussions, we outline guidance on real-world medical decision-making, and offer potential solutions to enhancing access to CAR T-cell therapy as a treatment modality.

As part of a conventional controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) regimen, final follicular maturation is usually triggered by a single bolus dose of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). COH, which combines GnRH antagonist co-treatment with GnRH agonist(GnRHa) trigger, is often used in attempts to eliminate severe early ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and to improve oocyte/embryo yield and quality. Theory-driven assessment of cognitive flexibility in bulimia nervosa: a preliminary study.

Background: Cognitive flexibility (CF) is defined as the ability to switch efficiently between different concepts or tasks. Empirical evidence of CF in individuals with bulimia nervosa (BN), offers conflicting conclusions, attributed to how CF is conceptualized and operationalized. The aims of the current study were to compare CF performance of women with BN to healthy controls, utilising a CF model that includes three subtypes termed: task switching, switching sets and stimulus-response mapping.

En bloc resection of large bladder tumor: is it feasible and reasonable?

Purpose Of Review: Transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) remains the basis of bladder tumor diagnosis and an effective means of treating nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). There are several limitations to this procedure: TURBT may cause free floating of malignant cells in the bladder and as a result re-implantation and early recurrence. Also, it does not allow the pathologist to define the correct spatial orientation of the specimen.
