[Construction and evaluation of the regional Children's oral health network platform].

Purpose: To explore a more effective comprehensive prevention and treatment model for children's oral health by constructing a health network platform that integrates medical information evaluation, interaction, monitoring, and prevention with oral health management as the core.

Methods: The database of Shaoxing Children's Oral Health Management Network Platform was established. The oral health survey and information entry of 7 042 second-grade children in primary school in Yuecheng District from 2021 to 2022 were conducted.

Knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward the treatment of endodontic-periodontal lesions among oral health care providers: a multi-center cross-sectional study.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of oral healthcare providers concerning the treatment of endodontic-periodontal lesions (EPLs) and investigate the relationships among the KAP dimensions using correlation analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM).

Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled dental healthcare professionals between February 2024 and June 2024, with questionnaire data collected in Hangzhou and Shaoxing, China. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire that gathered demographic information and KAP scores.

Effectiveness of photodynamic therapy as an adjunctive treatment for periodontitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objective: Periodontitis is a prevalent inflammatory disease affecting the supporting structures of teeth. While scaling and root planing (SRP) remains the gold standard for treatment, adjunctive therapies are being explored to enhance outcomes. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy (PDT) as an adjunct to SRP in the treatment of periodontitis.

Prussian Blue Nanohybridized Multicellular Spheroids as Composite Engraftment for Antioxidant Bone Regeneration and Photoacoustic Tomography.

Regulating the complex microenvironment after tooth extraction to promote alveolar bone regeneration is a pressing challenge for restorative dentistry. In this study, through modulating the mechanical properties of the cellular matrix, we guided various types of cells by self-organizing to form multicellular spheroids (MCSs) and hybridized MCSs with Prussian Blue nanoparticles (PBNPs) in the process. The constructed Prussian Blue nanohybridized multicellular spheroids (PBNPs@MCSs) with empowered antioxidant functions effectively reduced cell apoptosis under peroxidative conditions and exhibited enhanced ability to regulate the microenvironment and promote bone repair both in vitro and in vivo.

Clinical and radiographic evaluation of regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) with or without concentrated growth factor (CGF) as scaffolds for non-vital immature mandibular premolars.

This study aimed to perform clinical and radiographic investigations of the effect of regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) with and without concentrated growth factor (CGF). Fifty-six non-vital and immature teeth from 56 patients were randomly categorized into two groups. Following chemical and mechanical preparation, REPs with and without CGF as a scaffold was induced in the blood clot (BLC) group and the CGF group.

[Evaluation of the effect of MTF-S on the removal of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth with complete or partial crown impaction].

Purpose: To evaluation the effect of modified triangular flap-secondary healing (MTF-S) on the treatment of mandibular impacted wisdom teeth with full or partial bone impaction.

Methods: A total of 207 patients with mandibular impacted wisdom teeth were selected in Shaoxing Stomatological Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023. Among them, 86 patients had completely impacted wisdom teeth (group A), and 121 patients had partially impacted wisdom teeth (group B).

Innovative Clinical Scenario Simulator for Step-by-Step Microsurgical Training.

Background:  Microsurgical training should be implemented with consideration of operative difficulties that occur in actual clinical situations. We evaluated the effectiveness of a novel clinical scenario simulator for step-by-step microsurgical training that progressed from conventional training to escalated training with additional obstacles.

Methods:  A training device was designed according to multiple and intricate clinical microsurgery scenarios.

Relationship between time to hemostasis and outcomes of pulpotomy using iRoot BP Plus in symptomatic young permanent teeth: a prospective study.

The aim was to investigate the relationship between time to hemostasis and pulpotomy outcomes with the use of iRoot BP Plus (Innovative Bioceramics, Vancouver, Canada) for young permanent teeth of patients aged from 7 to 12 with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis and evaluate the outcomes of pulpotomy. The present study was a prospective cohort study. Two hundred and six young permanent teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis underwent pulpotomy with the use of iRoot BP Plus.

Oxidative stress-related biomarkers in oral squamous cell carcinoma patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

This meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the serum and salivary levels of oxidative stress-related biomarkers in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients compared with controls. A search of relevant articles that were published between 1 January 2000 and 20 March 2022, was conducted on three electronic databases (Embase, PubMed and Cochrane Library). A total of 15 articles were included in the meta-analysis.

Immediate implants show good therapeutic and aesthetic effect in patients with class III and IV bone loss of the anterior teeth.

Objective: To study the effect of immediate implantation on the restoration effect and aesthetic indicators in patients with class III and IV bone loss of the anterior teeth.

Methods: This retrospective study collected the data of 82 patients with single loss of anterior teeth who received tooth implantation. According to the treatment methods, these patients were divided into an observation group (N=43) and a control group (N=39).

[The role of Wnt5b in the promotion of osteogenic differentiation by puerarin].

Purpose: To investigate the capability of puerarin on osteogenic induction in bone marrow-mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs), and to explore the mechanism of osteoinductivity of puerarin in vitro.

Methods: After segregating and cultivation, bone marrow stromal cells from 3-weeks SD rats were induced by osteogenesis medium containing different concentrations of puerarin in induction groups; while in non-induction group, BMMSCs were still cultured with DMEM medium. Following continued culture for 2-4 weeks, alkaline phosphatase activity, osteocalcin and Wnt5b were measured.

[Fixed orthodontic treatment combined with surgical fenestration in the treatment of impacted mandibular first molars].

Purpose: To investigate the treatment of impacted mandibular first molars by straight wire appliance technique, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.

Methods: Eight patients with first mandibular impacted molars were treated with MBT straight wire appliance. Surgical fenestration was done after sufficient space created.
