With the accelerated development of urbanization in China, rural permanent population has declined, while rural electricity consumption has increased, resulting in a significant waste of electricity resources. Based on the provincial panel data of China from 2007 to 2020, this paper comprehensively used the decoupling model and the coordination degree model to analyze the temporal change characteristics, spatial distribution characteristics, and the degree of deviation of rural permanent population and rural electricity consumption. Firstly, according to the decoupling model, the type of decoupling between rural electricity consumption and rural permanent population was strong negative decoupling.

Article Synopsis
  • Cultural ecosystem services (CES) play a crucial role in ecosystem services and understanding their supply and demand is essential for sustainable management and improving well-being.
  • A study in Shigou Township, China, evaluated CES supply and demand by creating an indicator system and using a questionnaire to identify imbalances and spatial patterns.
  • Findings revealed significant spatial differences, with a high demand but low supply for aesthetic services, social relations, and recreation, while cultural and educational services had both low supply and low demand, informing strategies for better regional ecosystem management.

To understand the survival status and its influencing factors of occupational pneumoconiosis patients in Shizuishan City, and to analyze the disease burden of occupational pneumoconiosis and its trend, so as to provide scientific basis for formulating comprehensive prevention and treatment measures of occupational pneumoconiosis. A retrospective survey was conducted during July to December 2020 to explore the survival status of occupational pneumoconiosis patients who had been reported from 1963 to 2020 in Shizuishan City. The Kaplan-Meier method and Life-table method were used for survival analysis, and Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of survival time.

At present, China is facing problems such as the decline of fertility rate, gender imbalance, serious aging, and the reduction of youth and working population, which will have an adverse impact on the long-term development of social economy. Based on the literature review, combined with China's financial family data, combined with the innovative calculation model of the correlation between rural family fertility willingness and labor original equipment manufacturing (OEM) industrial development, through the empirical analysis of rural families, this paper investigates the relationship between fertility willingness and the development and endogeneity of labor OEM industry and finds that female labor participation has a significant negative impact on the number of children in rural families. Spouse labor participation has a negative effect on the number of children in rural families.

School of Mathematics and Information Science, Henan Normal University, Xinxiang, China.

With the worsening of the environment and the increasing international trade, indirect transmission from exposure to contaminants in the surrounding environment has become an overlooked mode of transmission. This paper proposes a new game-theoretic model considering voluntary vaccination against imperfection and the unique integration of human-to-human and virus-to-human transmission routes. Based on the individual-based risk assessment update rule (IB-RA), the strategy-based risk assessment update rule (SB-RA), and the direct commitment update rule (DC), the different effects of individuals' behaviors on disease prevalence are analyzed.

The photoelectrochemical properties of three metallofullerene-[12]cycloparaphenylene ([12]CPP) supramolecular complexes of ScN@C⊂[12]CPP, ScN@C⊂[12]CPP, and ScC@C⊂[12]CPP were studied. It was revealed that the photocurrent responses of these supramolecular complexes show enhancement compared with those of pristine metallofullerenes, indicating the efficient photocurrent generation and promoted charge carrier transport caused by the supramolecular interaction. The results show that ScC@C and ScC@C⊂[12]CPP have the strongest photocurrents.

Energy and water are rapidly consumed as the most basic strategic resources of various nations. It is of vital importance to systematically explore the environmental and economic impacts of energy-water co-management policies. This study is to develop a multiperspective-driven factorial metabolic network analysis framework (MPDF) to (a) investigate the direct/indirect/total resource consumption response mechanisms induced by changes in production and consumption; (b) explore the factor interactions of different policies in diverse energy and water metabolic networks by initiating factorial analysis; (c) quantify the economic effects of co-management policies by proposing multiple vulnerability indicators.

Background: Diabetic retinopathy, as a severe public health problem associated with vision loss, should be diagnosed early using an accurate screening tool. While many previous deep learning models have been proposed for this disease, they need sufficient professional annotation data to train the model, requiring more expensive and time-consuming screening skills.

Method: This study aims to economize manual power and proposes a deep graph correlation network (DGCN) to develop automated diabetic retinopathy grading without any professional annotations.

Background: Social determinants of health (SDOH) produce a broad range of life expectancy (LE) disparities. In China, limited literatures were found to report association between SDOH and LE at ecological level during a consecutive period of time from the spatial perspectives. This study aimed to determine the existence, quantify the magnitude, and interpret the association between SDOH and LE in China.

Department of Medical Imaging and Medical Biophysics, Western University, London, ON, Canada.

Background: The fusion of PET metabolic images and CT anatomical images can simultaneously display the metabolic activity and anatomical position, which plays an indispensable role in the staging diagnosis and accurate positioning of lung cancer.

Methods: In order to improve the information of PET-CT fusion image, this article proposes a PET-CT fusion method Siamese Pyramid Fusion Network (SPFN). In this method, feature pyramid transformation is introduced to the siamese convolution neural network to extract multi-scale information of the image.

The agricultural use of sewage sludge has become an economic disposal method used worldwide. However, heavy metals contained in sewage sludge have become the crucial limiting factors for this way of disposal. This study showed that regulatory limit values are not enough to determine whether sewage sludge is suitable for agricultural use; risk assessment and potential analysis should be applied.

Environmental audit is inevitably linked to climate change, one immediate target of the auditors is likely to be climate control, and the warming of the Earth and the consequent climatic changes affect us all. What is the link between environmental audit and climate change? What ties together some of these themes between environmental audit and climate change? The interaction between climate change and environmental audit has been one of the most challenging. In this paper, a scientometric analysis of 84 academic publications between 2013 and 2021 related to climate change and environmental audit is presented to characterize the knowledge domain by using the CiteSpace visualization software.

The architectural drawings of traditional building constructions generally require some design knowledge of the architectural plan to be understood. With the continuous development of the construction industry, the use of three-dimensional (3D) virtual models of buildings is quickly increased. Using three-dimensional models can give people a more convenient and intuitive understanding of the model of the building, and it is necessary for the painter to manually draw the 3D model.

Chlorophyll content of the flag leaf is an important trait for drought resistance in wheat under drought stress. Understanding the regulatory mechanism of flag leaf chlorophyll content could accelerate breeding for drought resistance. In this study, we constructed a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population from a cross of drought-sensitive variety DH118 and drought-resistant variety Jinmai 919, and analyzed the chlorophyll contents of flag leaves in six experimental locations/years using the Wheat90K single-nucleotide polymorphism array.

The human brain dynamically shifts between a predominantly integrated state and a predominantly segregated state, each with different roles in supporting cognition and behavior. However, no studies to date have investigated lesions placed in different regions of the cerebral cortex to determine the effects on the temporal balance of integration and segregation. Here, we used the integrated state occurrence rate to measure the temporal balance of integration and segregation in the resting brain.
