This study introduces an innovative electrochemical biosensor, engineered through the functionalization screen-printed electrode (SPE) with a coordination complex comprised of 4-mercaptobenzoic acid (4-MBA) and copper ions (Cu), achieving precise quantitative determination of glyphosate. Electrodepositing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) onto the electrode surface, forming a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of 4-MBA via thiol-gold interactions, and immobilizing Cu via coordination bonding with the monolayer, finalizing the electrochemical biosensor construction as Cu/4-MBA/AuNPs/SPE. The successful modification of the biosensor interface is confirmed through scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and electrochemical characterization.

Porcine teschovirus (PTV) is a devastating virus that targets the central nervous system and led to great economic losses in Europe between the 1920s and 1960s. Since 1973, PTV variants with lower pathogenicity have been prevalent globally, whereas highly pathogenic PTV strains have rarely emerged. In 2022, diarrhea with high mortality occurred on a pig farm in Gansu China.

Soft and stretchable strain sensors are crucial for applications in human-machine interfaces, flexible robotics, and electronic skin. Among these, capacitive strain sensors are widely used and studied; however, they face challenges due to material and structural constraints, such as low baseline capacitance and susceptibility to external interference, which result in low signal-to-noise ratios and poor stability. To address these issues, we propose a U-shaped electrode flexible strain sensor based on liquid metal elastomer (LME).

The Loess Plateau in northwest China features fragmented terrain and is prone to landslides. However, the complex environment of the Loess Plateau, combined with the inherent limitations of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), often results in false positives and missed detection for deep learning models based on CNNs when identifying landslides from high-resolution remote sensing images. To deal with this challenge, our research introduced a CNN-transformer hybrid network.

Automatic crack detection is challenging, owing to the complex and thin topologies, diversity, and background noises of cracks. Inspired by the wavelet theory, we present an instance normalization wavelet (INW) layer and embed the layer into the deep model for segmentation. The proposed layer employs prior knowledge in the wavelets to capture the crack features and filter the high-frequency noises simultaneously, accelerating the convergence of model training.

In order to solve the problems of high planting density, similar color, and serious occlusion between spikes in sorghum fields, such as difficult identification and detection of sorghum spikes, low accuracy and high false detection, and missed detection rates, this study proposes an improved sorghum spike detection method based on YOLOv8s. The method involves augmenting the information fusion capability of the YOLOv8 model's neck module by integrating the Gold feature pyramid module. Additionally, the SPPF module is refined with the LSKA attention mechanism to heighten focus on critical features.

Salt stress is an environmental factor that limits plant seed germination, growth, and survival. We performed a comparative RNA sequencing transcriptome analysis during germination of the seeds from two cultivars with contrasting salt tolerance responses. A transcriptomic comparison between salt-tolerant cotton cv Jin-mian 25 and salt-sensitive cotton cv Su-mian 3 revealed both similar and differential expression patterns between the two genotypes during salt stress.

The 7000 series aluminum alloy represented by Al-Zn-Mg-Cu has good strength and toughness and is widely used in the aerospace field. However, its high Zn content results in poor corrosion resistance, limiting its application in other fields. In order to achieve the synergistic improvement of both strength and corrosion resistance, this study examines the response of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance of a high-strength aluminum alloy tail frame under aging conditions with external stresses of 135 MPa, 270 MPa and 450 MPa.

Damage mechanisms are a key factor in materials science and are essential for understanding and predicting the behavior of materials under complex loading conditions. In this paper, the influence of different directions, different rates and different model parameters on the mechanical behavior of AZ31 magnesium alloy during the tensile process is investigated based on the secondary development of the VUMAT user subroutine based on the GTN damage model and verified by the tensile experiments at different loading rates and in different directions. The results show that AZ31 magnesium alloy exhibits significant differences in mechanical properties in radial and axial stretching, where the yield strength is lower in the radial direction than in the axial direction, and the elongation is the opposite.

In this work, the coprecipitation approach was successfully used to create Mg-Al hydrotalcite-like inhibitors modified with varying amounts of Zn, and their characteristics were assessed. The findings indicate that the flame retardancy of Mg-Al hydrotalcite (MgAl-LDHs) is not significantly affected by Zn content. By adding MgAl-LDHs, the temperature at which the exothermic reaction started to occur was raised from 146.

Amino acids in wine grapes function as precursors for various secondary metabolites and play a vital role in plant growth, development, and stress resistance. The amino acid/auxin permease () genes encode a large family of transporters; however, the identification and function of the gene family in grapes remain limited. Consequently, we conducted a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis of all genes in grapes, encompassing genome sequence analysis, conserved protein domain identification, chromosomal localization, phylogenetic relationship analysis, and gene expression profiling.

The real-time measurement of the content of impurities such as iron and aluminium ions is one of the keys to quality evaluation in the production process of high-purity lithium carbonate; however, impurity detection has been a time-consuming process for many years, which limits the optimisation of the production of high-purity lithium carbonate. In this context, this work explores the possibility of using water-soluble fluorescent probes for the rapid detection of impurity ions. Salicylaldehyde was modified with the hydrophilic group dl-alanine to synthesise a water-soluble Al fluorescent probe (Probe A).
