A prospective multicenter birth cohort in China: pregnancy health atlas.

The China Prospective Multi-Center Birth Cohort Study was launched in 2022. Objective: This study explores the clinical utility of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) in discriminating thrombus types in ischemic stroke.

Methods: Patients with acute ischemic stroke who underwent brain DECT non-contrast scanning and brain CT perfusion (CTP) before thrombectomy were included, and the thrombus composition was analyzed by postoperative pathology. DECT data was conducted to reconstruct polychromatic images and effective atomic number images.

Correlations between coagulation abnormalities and inflammatory markers in trauma-induced coagulopathy.

Introduction: In multiple trauma patients, the occurrence of trauma-induced coagulopathy (TIC) is closely associated with tissue damage and coagulation function abnormalities in the pathophysiological process.

Methods: This study established a multiple trauma and shock model in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats and comprehensively utilized histological staining and radiographic imaging techniques to observe injuries in the intestine, liver, skeletal muscles, and bones. Monitoring activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), platelet (PLT) count, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and other physiological indicators revealed time-dependent alterations in coagulation function and physiological indicators.

Case Report: Postoperative ascites: allergic reaction to the drainage tube in a 12-year-old patient.

Allergic reaction to the silicone is rare in children and as a result very little experience has been reported on symptom and treatment. We presented a case involving a child who experienced prolonged ascites following a surgery of placing an abdominal drainage tube, characterized by the ongoing drainage of clear, light-yellow fluid at a rate of 250 mL/day through the drainage tube for 36 days. Examination of the ascitic fluid revealed an abnormal elevation in eosinophil proportion, which exhibited positive response to anti-allergic treatment.

Triglyceride-glucose index predicts postoperative overall survival in hepatocellular carcinoma: a retrospective cohort study.

Background: Insulin resistance is important in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) carcinogenesis and progression. The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-c) ratio or TyG-body mass index (TyG-BMI) are three non-invasive parameters for insulin resistance.
