Traditional surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates seeking uniformity and reproducibility of the Raman signal often assume and require that hot spots remain consistently stable during Raman testing. Recently, the non-uniform accumulation in SERS sample pre-concentration strategies have inspired the direct use of self-healing noble metal aerogels (NMAs), as the sample pretreatment presented in this work, and uncovered more diverse Raman information of substances during the dynamic process of laser irradiation. Rare characteristic peaks such as 820 cm⁻ for R6G within a specific concentration range were observed, and potential processes including R6G dimerization and desorption were analyzed.

Optical metrology is a well-established subject, dating back to early interferometry techniques utilizing light's linear momentum through fringes. In recent years, significant interest has arisen in using vortex light with orbital angular momentum (OAM), where the phase twists around a singular vortex in space or time. This has expanded metrology's boundaries to encompass highly sensitive chiral interactions between light and matter, three-dimensional motion detection via linear and rotational Doppler effects, and modal approaches surpassing the resolution limit for improved profiling and quantification.

Lipid metabolism disorders are frequently noted in atopic dermatitis (AD) patients, prompting the long-term use of lipid-lowering drugs. However, the causal effects of circulating lipids and different lipid-lowering drugs on the risk of AD are not thoroughly understood. Using publicly available genome-wide association studies (GWAS) summary data from two different cohorts, a series of Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were conducted to explore the causal effects of genetically proxied circulating lipids and lipid-lowering drugs on the risk of AD.

In this paper, we prepared carbon nanotube (CNT) epoxy composite films and conducted tensile experiments at various temperatures (-40 °C, -10 °C, 20 °C, and 50 °C) and frequencies (1 Hz, 10 Hz, and 20 Hz) using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA). This study reveals the effects of temperature and frequency on the mechanical properties of CNT films and CNT epoxy composite films. The results indicate that the energy storage modulus of the pure CNT film is approximately 13 times greater than that of the composite material at 20 °C.

Pangenomes can facilitate a deeper understanding of genome complexity. Using de novo phased long-read assemblies of eight representative goat breeds, we constructed a graph-based pangenome of goats (Capra hircus) and discovered 113-Mb autosomal novel sequences. Combining this multi-assembly pangenome with low-coverage PacBio HiFi sequences, we constructed a long-read structural variations (SVs) database containing 59,325 SV deletions, 84,910 SV insertions, and 24,954 other complex SV alleles.

Vanadium-based oxide cathodes are promising energy-storage systems for aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) because of their high energy density and safety, and low cost. However, their limited ion/electron transfer rates and rapid capacity decay pose challenges to their practical application. To overcome these limitations, VO nanoparticles are developed with surface oxygen vacancies integrated with N-doped carbon nanofibers (VO@NCNFs), using an electrospinning method combined with an in situ oxidation/reduction strategy.

The L-shell x-ray emission of tellurium induced by H ions impact is investigated in an energy range of 150-300 keV. The blue shifts of various L-subshell x rays and the enhancement of the relative intensity ratios of Lι, Lβ to Lα x ray are observed and interpreted by the multiple ionization of outer-shell electrons. The new experimental x-ray production cross sections, which almost correspond to those of protons with half of the original energy, are extracted and compared with various theoretical estimations.

The activation of inert C-H bonds remains a challenge in current chemistry. Here, we report the excellent reactivity of the anionic gallylene species [LGa:][Na(THF)] (L = [(2,6-PrCH)NC(CH)], ) that allows the selective activation one sp C-H bond of several azobenzene and azide derivatives at ambient temperature, with the transfer of the hydrogen atom to one of the nitrogen atoms. The process leads to the formation of the aryl amido products [LGa-κN,C-PhNN(H)(-R-CH)][Na(solvent)] (, R = H solvent = DME (1,2-Dimethoxyethane); , R = -OMe, solvent = DME; , R = -NMe solvent = THF), [LGa-κN,C-(-CH-CH)NN(H)(-CH-CH)][Na(15-C-5)] () with new Ga-C and Ga-N bonds.

Lithium-rich manganese-based layered oxides (LRMOs) have received attention from both the academic and the industrial communities in recent years due to their high specific capacity (theoretical capacity ≥250 mAh g), low cost, and excellent processability. However, the large-scale applications of these materials still face unstable surface/interface structures, unsatisfactory cycling/rate performance, severe voltage decay, etc. Recently, solid evidence has shown that lattice oxygen in LRMOs easily moves and escapes from the particle surface, which inspires significant efforts on stabilizing the surface/interfacial structures of LRMOs.

Noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), including long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs), play crucial roles in gene expression regulation and are significant in disease associations and medical research. Accurate ncRNA-disease association prediction is essential for understanding disease mechanisms and developing treatments. Existing methods often focus on single tasks like lncRNA-disease associations (LDAs), miRNA-disease associations (MDAs), or lncRNA-miRNA interactions (LMIs), and fail to exploit heterogeneous graph characteristics.
