Objectives: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of suraxavir marboxil (GP681, abbreviated as suraxavir) in adults with uncomplicated influenza.

Methods: We conducted a multi-center randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 trial in 18 Chinese centers. Participants had to be aged 18-65 years with positive influenza test, presenting with at least one influenza systemic and respiratory symptoms in at least moderate severity within 48 hours of onset.

Objective: This study aims to assess the feasibility of evaluating the COVID-19 epidemic trend through monitoring the positive percentage of SARS-CoV-19 RNA in wastewater.

Method: The study collected data from January to August 2023, including the number of reported cases, the positive ratio of nucleic acid samples in sentinel hospitals, the incidence rate of influenza-like symptoms in students, and the positive ratio of wastewater samples in different counties and districts in Shangrao City. Wastewater samples were obtained through grabbing and laboratory testing was completed within 24 h.

Methods: The data of this retrospective study originated from the database of JiangXi Province Medical Big Data Engineering & Technology Research Center. Moreover, the information of MMD patients admitted to the second affiliated hospital of Nanchang university from January 1st, 2007 to December 31st, 2019 was acquired.

Introduction: This study aim to analyzed the main pollen allergen components that cause allergic asthma and/or rhinitis and the cross-reactions between the allergen components.

Methods: Twenty one allergic rhinitis patients and 23 allergic asthma patients with pollen sensitization from the China Biological Information Repository of Respiratory Diseases were included. All the patients were detected serum pollen allergens components specific immunoglobulin E (sIgE) including Betula verrucosa (Bet v 1, Bet v 2, Bet v 4), Quercus alba (Pla a 1, Pla a 2), Ambrosia elatior (Amb a 1), Artemisia vulgaris (Art v 1, Art v 3, Art v 4), Bermuda grass (Cyn d 1, Cyn d 12), Phleum pratense (Phl p 5, Phl p 1, Phl p 4, Phl p 7, Phl p 12), and cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants.

B-cell lymphoma-2-associated transcription factor 1 (BCLAF1) is a versatile protein involved in the regulation of gene transcription and post-transcriptional processing. Although BCLAF1 exerts a broad tumor suppressor effect or tumor promoter effect in many cancer types, the specific roles concerning its expression levels, and its impact on tumorigenesis in Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remain unclear. Here, we utilized the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Genotype Tissue Expression (GTEx) datasets alongside R software and online tools to unravel the specific roles of BCLAF1 in 33 cancer types, including its expression levels, tumor immune and molecular subtypes, and its correlation with prognosis, diagnosis, DNA methylation, and immune microenvironment.

Predictive value of procollagen c-protease enhancer protein on the prognosis of glioma patients.

Procollagen c-protease enhancer protein (PCOLCE) performs an essential action in improving the recreation of procollagen c-protease and promoting the reconstruction of extracellular matrix. High PCOLCE expression was associated with a negative prognosis of stomach cancer, ovarian cancer, and osteosarcoma. The goal of this work is to investigate the function of PCOLCE in glioma.

Perioperative immunotherapy for stage II-III non-small cell lung cancer: a meta-analysis base on randomized controlled trials.

Background: In recent years, we have observed the pivotal role of immunotherapy in improving survival for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the effectiveness of immunotherapy in the perioperative (neoadjuvant + adjuvant) treatment of resectable NSCLC remains uncertain. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of its antitumor efficacy and adverse effects (AEs) by pooling data from the KEYNOTE-671, NADIM II, and AEGEAN clinical trials.

Classification of molecular subtypes for colorectal cancer and development of a prognostic model based on necroptosis-related genes.

Background: Necroptosis could regulate immunity in cancers, and stratification of colorectal cancer (CRC) subtypes based on key genes related to necroptosis might be a novel strategy for CRC treatment.

Method: The RNA-sequencing data of CRC and other 31 types of cancers were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Consensus clustering was performed based on protein-coding genes (PCGs) related to necroptosis score calculated by single sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA).

Background: There is a lack of studies on the effects of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) with multidisciplinary collaboration on the nursing outcomes of total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Aim: To explore the effect of ERAS with multidisciplinary collaboration on nursing outcomes after TKA.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 80 patients who underwent TKA at a tertiary hospital between January 2021 and December 2022.

Rationale: Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disorders (MOGAD) represents a demyelinating neurological syndrome characterized by the presence of serum IgG antibodies directed against myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG-IgG). Concurrently, giant cell arteritis (GCA) constitutes a systemic autoimmune vasculitis.

Patient Concerns: In this case, we describe an elderly female patient who presented with the sudden onset of a severe headache, unilateral blindness, and clinical manifestations resembling those of GCA.

Neuroprotective effect of ketamine and sevoflurane against TNF-α induced cognitive impairment.

In the present study, neuroprotective effect of sevoflurane in combination with ketamine was investigated on TNF-α induced necroptosis of neurons and cognitive impairment in the rat model. The results demonstrated that exposure to TNF-α/z-VAD led to a significant decrease in viability of HT-22 neuronal cells. However, incubation of HT-22 cells with ketamine plus sevoflurane inhibited decrease in viability induced by TNF-α/z-VAD exposure.
