Circular RNAs (circRNAs) and epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) have been implicated in the development of human cancer and paclitaxel resistance. CircRNA circ_0007534 has been described as a key oncogenic circular RNA that is upregulated in a variety of cancer tissues. However, whether circ_0007534 causes EMT and paclitaxel resistance in endometrial cancer is still unknown.

Background: Since thermo-chemotherapy was suggested as an effective treatment for gastric cancer, we aimed to evaluate the effects of hyperthermia combined with cisplatin (DDP) on the inhibition of human gastric cancer drug-resistant cells in vitro and explore its possible mechanisms.

Methods: SGC-7901/DDP cells were cultured and divided into control, cisplatin, hyperthermia, and hyperthermia combined with cispla- tin groups. Hyperthermia was done at 42°C, 44°C, 46°C, 48°C, and 50°C for 12 h, 24 h, 36 h; 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl- 2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay detected the proliferation of SGC-7901/DDP at different time and temperature, and the apoptotic rate of SGC-7901/DDP cells was evaluated by using Annexin staining assay.

An Integrated Immune-Related Bioinformatics Analysis in Glioma: Prognostic Signature's Identification and Multi-Omics Mechanisms' Exploration.

As the traditional treatment for glioma, the most common central nervous system malignancy with poor prognosis, the efficacy of high-intensity surgery combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy is not satisfactory. The development of individualized scientific treatment strategy urgently requires the guidance of signature with clinical predictive value. In this study, five prognosis-related differentially expressed immune-related genes (PR-DE-IRGs) (CCNA2, HMGB2, CASP3, APOBEC3C, and BMP2) highly associated with glioma were identified for a prognostic model through weighted gene co-expression network analysis, univariate Cox and lasso regression.

[Clinical effect and related influencing factors of implant and implant-natural tooth in dental restoration].

Purpose: To investigate the clinical effect and related influencing factors of implant and implant-natural tooth in dental restoration.

Methods: A total of 67 edentulous patients receiving dental implantation in Shangrao People's Hospital from May 2016 to June 2017 were enrolled, including 34 cases of implant-natural tooth supported restoration (combined group) and 33 cases of implant restoration (single group). During the 3-year follow-up, the repair effect and bone resorption of the two groups were evaluated.

Methods: The expression levels of XIST, TAF15, FUT1 and YY1 were detected through quantitative RT-PCR. The protein expression of Sox9, ACAN, COL2A1 and FUT1 were detected by western blot and immunohistochemistry.

Considering the role of immunity and ferroptosis in the invasion, proliferation and treatment of cancer, it is of interest to construct a model of prognostic-related differential expressed immune-related ferroptosis genes (PR-DE-IRFeGs), and explore the ferroptosis-related biological processes in esophageal cancer (ESCA). Four ESCA datasets were used to identify three PR-DE-IRFeGs for constructing the prognostic model. Validation of our model was based on analyses of internal and external data sets, and comparisons with past models.

Formulation, Characterization, Antioxidant, Cytotoxicity, and Anti-acute Leukemia Effects of Fe Nanoparticles.

In this study, iron nanoparticles were prepared and synthesized in aqueous medium using Cinnamomum verum as stabilizing and reducing agents. We determined the anti-acute leukemia potentials of FeNPs against acute T cell leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell lines. FeNPs inhibited half of the DPPH molecules in the concentration of 139 µg/mL.

Background: The study of unstable atherosclerotic plaques is limited by the absence of ideal animal models to reproduce the plaque instability observed in humans. In this study, we attempted to develop a novel animal model for vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques using dehydrated ethanol lavage in rabbits fed a Western diet (WD).

Methods: A total of 30 New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits were randomized to 5 groups, including a control group with or without WD, a balloon injury with WD group, and an ethanol injury with or without WD group.

Background: Early diagnosis of cancer is still the most effective method to increase survival and therapeutically effective patient management.
