Introduction: Prostate cancer (PCa), one of the most prevalent malignant tumors in the genitourinary system, is characterized by distant metastasis and the development of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), which are major determinants of poor prognosis. Current treatment approaches for PCa primarily involve surgery and endocrine therapy, but effective strategies for managing distant metastasis and CRPC remain limited.

Methods: We utilized qPCR, WB, and other methods to measure the expression levels of respective proteins, concurrently assessing lipid metabolism to validate the role of FATP5 in lipid metabolism.

The regulatory mechanism of the MBW (MYB-bHLH-WD40) complex in safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) remains unclear. In the present study, we show that the separate overexpression of the genes CtbHLH41, CtMYB63, and CtWD40-6 in Arabidopsis thaliana increased anthocyanin and procyanidin contents in the transgenic plants and partially rescued the trichome reduction phenotype of the corresponding bhlh41, myb63, and wd40-6 single mutants. Overexpression of CtbHLH41, CtMYB63, or CtWD40-6 in safflower significantly increased the content of the natural pigment hydroxysafflor yellow A (HYSA) and negatively regulated safflower petal size.

State Key Laboratory for Oncogenes and Related Genes, Key Laboratory of Gastroenterology &Hepatology, Ministry of Health, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Ren Ji Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Cancer Institute, Shanghai Institute of Digestive Disease, Shanghai Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Center, Shanghai No.160 Pu Jian Ave, Shanghai 200127, China

Background: Body mass index [BMI] is widely used to measure nutritional status in Crohn's disease [CD] patients, but limitations remain. Measuring handgrip strength index, in addition to BMI, may aid in overcoming limitations.

Methods: A total of 150 patients with CD and 254 controls were included in this study.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to evaluate the changes of skeletal and dental structures in mild to moderate skeletal Class III children following the use of a new magnetic orthopedic appliance (MOA-III).

Methods: A total of 36 patients (14 boys and 22 girls, mean age 9 years and 5 months) who presented with a mild to moderate skeletal Class III jaw discrepancy were treated with MOA-III. Another group of 20 untreated patients (9 boys and 11 girls, mean age 9 years and 2 months) with the same level of deformity served as the control group.
