Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) progression is relevant to oxidative stress, while NADPH oxidase can produce ROS. This study explored how the upstream stimulatory factor 1 (USF1) regulates cytochrome b-245 alpha chain (CYBA) expression through the NADPH-ROS pathway and its impact on oxidative stress and lipid accumulation in NAFLD. Bioinformatics analysis identified CYBA as a gene with altered expression in NAFLD.

Patients diagnosed with papillary renal cell carcinoma (pRCC) exhibit a high rate of clinical metastasis; however, the underlying molecular mechanism is unclear. In this study, KH-type splicing regulatory protein (KHSRP) participated in pRCC progression and was associated with metastasis. It was positively correlated with the hallmark of epithelial-mesenchymal transition.

We examined the relationship between exposure to cadmium, lead, and mercury with the occurrence of urgency urinary incontinence (UUI) and stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in women. This study was conducted using data on women > 20 years of age, collected between 2005 and 2016, who reported experiencing urinary incontinence in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Background: To establish the co-delivery liposomes of gefitinib (GFT) and curcumin (CUR) via oral administration with the goals of improving the synergistic effect and reducing acquired drug resistance.
Methods: We prepared liposomes (LPs) which can embed the anticancer compound GFT and CUR and investigated whether they could enhance the antitumor effects of anticancer drugs against MDR. The LPs system was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), particle size, encapsulation efficiency, cellular uptake and cell viability.

Background: Anti-CD11c antibodies target to the CD11c receptor that mediates antigen presentation to T cells by dendritic cells (DCs). To exploit these properties for immunization purposes, we obtained DC-targeting DNA vaccines by fusing tumor-associated antigen HER2/neu ectodomain to single chain antibody fragment (scFv) from N418 (scFv(N418)), a monoclonal antibody binding the mouse DC-restricted surface molecule CD11c, and explored its antitumoral efficacy and underlying mechanisms in mouse breast cancer models.
Methods: Induction of humoral and cellular immune responses and antitumoral activity of the DNA vaccines were tested in transplantable HER2/neu-expressing murine tumor models and in transgenic BALB-neuT mice developing spontaneous Neu-driven mammary carcinomas.

Background: The biomechanical property of MGT for patients who underwent partial sacrectomy is not well documented, so this study aimed to investigate biomechanical property of lumbosacral reconstruction after partial sacrectomy.
Material And Methods: Three 3-dimensional finite element models of lumbosacral region were established: 1) an intact model (INT), 2) a defective model in which partial sacrectomy was performed cephalad to S1 foramina (DEF), and 3) a reconstructed model (REC).
Results: Displacements of anchor point on L3 vertebrae in INT, DEF, and REC model were 6.

Method: Ninety-eight patients of OSAHS were examined with video laryngoscope to locate the upper airway stricture under awake and Midazolam-induced sleep.
Result: The several stricture levels under awake was 58.
