[Analyzing of iatrogenetic factors causing 60 periapicitis and its treatment].

OBJECTIVE: To analyse the causes of iatrogenetic periapicitis and probe into the several methods of endo-treatment. METHODS: Prepare the root canal with routine,stepback,endo-ultrasound,precurve and synthesis methods, then fill the root cannal with gutta percha points,reexaminate after 6 months.RESULTS: 54 cases were successfully treated in total of 60 cases and the result showed quite effective after over 6 months.

[The influence of different treatment of the etched enamel on bracket bonding effect].

OBJECTIVE:To inquire into the influence of three different treatment of the etched enamel on bracket bonding effect. METHODS:Compared the bracket bonding failure rate and ARI counts of 30 cases which treat the etched enamel surface with 5s air-water gun rinsing, wet cotton ball wiping and alcohol cotton ball wiping respectively. RESULTS: The bracket bonding failure rate of the group which rinse the etched enamel 5s with air-water gun in the lowest one.

[Experimental study of radiosensitization of buthionine sulffoximine (BSO) on Acc-2 transplanted tumor].

OBJECTIVE:The effect of radiosensitization of BSO on Acc-2 transplanted tumor was studied in vivo.METHODS: There were four groups in this experiment:control group,radiation group and BSO+radiation group.The drug dose of BSO is 5mmol/kg and the radiation dose was 10Gy.

[A study of the mitogen effects of endothelin-1 on human dental pulp cell in vitro].

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the mitogen effects of endothelin-1 (ET-1)with different concentrations on human pulp cells.METHODS:Using in vitro pulp cell cultrue technique and thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide (MTT) staining and spectrophotometric assay.RESULTS:Endothelin-1 with different concentration had the mitogenesis on human pulp cells in different degree,which was dependent on ET-1 concentration.

[Effect of the abutments with reduced periodontal support on stress distribution of support tissue].

OBJECTIVE:This study applied finite element analysis (FEA) compared stress distribution characteristics of mandible,bilateral,SJ-1 bolt(extracoronal) distal extension attachment prostheses when the abutments were subject to eight different loss of periodontal support.METHODS:Finite element analysis.RESULTS:It was shown that periodontal support loss results in increased stress of the terminal abutment tooth without sudden changes.

[Effect of the number of splinted abutments on stress distribution of support tissue].

OBJECTIVE:The present study was to investigate the acid-resistant effect of lanthanum,cerium contained gel.METHODS:30 of enamel-cementum slabs were treated individually with 2000ppm lanthanum,cerium and fluoride-contained gel in a pH-cycle condition for 5 days and etched with acetic buffer gel for 24 hours.RESULTS:There were spherical grains coating layers on the surface of enamel or cementum surfaces treated with F/La and F/Ce groups.

[The expression of adhesion molecules in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma cell line].

OBJECTIVE:The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of the adhesion molecules in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma(ACC) cell lines (ACC-2 line and ACC-M strain) which had different metastatic ability.METHODS:The expression of adhesion molecules,which included CD44s,CD44v6,E cadherin,alph-catenin and beta-catenin in two human salivary ACC cell lines and Scid mice neoplasm models was investigated by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: (1)Positive staining of adhesion molecules in lung metastatic foci of ACC was higher than that in subcutaneous implanted tumor mass.

[The expression of E-cadherin-catenin complex in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma].

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of the E-cadherin-catenin(E-cad-cat) complex in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma(ACC) and determine the effects of E-cad-cat expression on tumor differentiation,metastasis and invasion as well as their clinical significance. METHODS:The expression of adhesion molecules,which included E-cadherin,alpha-catenin and beta-catenin,in 10 cases of normal salivary glands,50 cases of human salivary ACC was investigated by immunohistochemistry.RESULT:Co-expression of E-cadherin,alpha-catenin and beta-catenin was detected in 29(58%) of the 50 ACC specimens.

[The expression of CD44s and CD44v6 in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma ].

OBJECTIVE:The present study was to investigate the expression of CD44s and CD44v6 in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) and to discuss the relationship between the expression of the proteins and the biological characteristic of ACC.METHODS:Formalin fixed,paraffin embedded sections in 10 cases of normal salivary glands and 50 cases of human salivary ACC were examined using immunostaining for CD44s and CD44v6.RESULTS:(1)Positive signals of CD44s and CD44v6 were detected in all the specimens of normal salivary glands.
