Background: In the filed of antiviral therapy, effective therapeutic concentration is beneficial to shorten the recovery time of patients and reduce the transmission rate. The aim of this study is to retrospectively analyze the factors that lead to the drug concentration of Nirmatrelvir /Ritonavir (NMV/RTV) not reaching the standard.
Methods: In this study, the NMV/RTV drug concentration(Cnmv/rtv) data (n = 114) of COVID-19 patients over 18 years old were collected from May 2022 to July 2022, and the results of the patients were retrospectively compared.

Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) is characterized by its extremely high level of genetic diversity. The spread of different subtypes in the same population often leads to the emergence of circulating recombinant forms (CRFs) and unique recombinant forms (URFs). At present, the main recombinant subtypes of HIV-1 in China originate from CRF07_BC, CRF01_AE, CRF55_01B and subtype B.

Introduction: Coronaviruses and influenza viruses are significant respiratory pathogens that cause severe disease burdens and economic losses for society. Due to their diversity and evolution, vaccines typically require periodic updating to remain effective. An additional challenge is imposed by the possible coinfection of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza, which could increase disease severity.

Despite the great progress of various multifunctional wound dressings, it is challenging to simultaneously achieve complete healing and functional remodeling for diabetic foot ulcers and refractory chronic wounds. Aiming to comprehensively regulate chronic inflammation, angiogenesis, and metabolism processes, herein, a novel kind of dynamic hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogel was designed by combining boronate and coordination chemistry. Besides having injectability, self-healing, and detachment properties, dynamic HA hydrogels presented diabetic wound-responsive degradation and controllable HS release.

Circoviruses belong to the family Circoviridae, which is classified into two genera, Circovirus and Cyclovirus. Some circoviruses have been identified in various organisms and/or their fecal samples and might be associated with diseases in their hosts. However, few circoviruses are reported in human.

Background: Perceived stigma significantly impedes access to public health resources for women living with HIV/AIDS, highlighting the crucial need for interventions to empower individuals to overcome such barriers.
Objectives: This paper outlines the protocol for a pilot study aimed at evaluating the efficacy of the Helping Overcome PErceived Stigma (HOPES) intervention employing the mixed methods-grounded in narrative transportation-theory in reducing perceived stigma among women living with HIV/AIDS.
Methods: A total of 100 women living with HIV/AIDS will be randomized into two groups: the HOPES group and the control group.

The chromatography process of large-scale plasmid purification with high efficiency and low cost has always been a major challenge. We established a two-step plasmid chromatography purification process combining multimodal and thiophilic chromatography with an overall chromatography yield of nearly 70%. Capto Core 700, a multimodal core-shell particle, was firstly used to remove the impurities from the crude lysate.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of dolutegravir plus lamivudine (DTG/3TC) in antiretroviral treatment (ART)-experienced people living with HIV (PLWH). A total of 303 PLWH in Shanghai, China, who switched from triple ART to DTG/3TC between January 2019 and June 2022, with a minimum ART duration of 6 months, were retrospectively enrolled. More than 95% of PLWH maintained viral suppression with no significant changes in CD4 counts 12 months after switching.

Effective cancer therapy aims to treat primary tumors and metastatic and recurrent cancer. Immune checkpoint blockade-mediated immunotherapy has shown promising effects against tumors; however, its efficacy in metastatic or recurrent cancer is limited. Here, based on the advantages of nanomedicine, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) that can target tumors are synthesized for photothermal therapy (PTT) and immunotherapy to treat primary and metastatic recurrent cancer.

The development of effective vaccines necessitates a delicate balance between maximizing immunogenicity and minimizing safety concerns. Subunit vaccines, while generally considered safe, often fail to elicit robust and durable immune responses. Nanotechnology presents a promising approach to address this dilemma, enabling subunit antigens to mimic critical aspects of native pathogens, such as nanoscale dimensions, geometry, and highly repetitive antigen display.

Protein subunit vaccines form a key pipeline for developing novel tuberculosis (TB) vaccines. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) contains approximately 4000 individual proteins. However, only approximately 100 have been evaluated as antigens in the clinical and preclinical stages of vaccine development.

Background: Mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) plays pleiotropic roles in cellular physiology and pathology that contributes to a variety of diseases, but the role and potential mechanism of MCU in the pathogenesis of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) remain poorly understood.
Methods And Results: Here, hepatic knockdown of MCU in C57BL/6J mice was achieved by tail vein injection of AAV8-mediated the CRISPR/Cas9. Mice were fed a Choline-deficient, L-amino acid-defined high-fat diet (CDAHFD) for 8 weeks to induce MASH and fibrosis.

Norovirus (NoV) virus-like particles (VLPs) adjuvanted with aluminum hydroxide (Alum) are common vaccine candidates in clinical studies. Alum adjuvants usually inefficiently assist recombinant proteins to induce cellular immune responses. Thus, novel adjuvants are required to develop NoV vaccines that could induce both efficient humoral and robust cellular immune responses.
