To understand the infection status, epidemiological characteristics and drug resistance of Diarrheagenic (DEC) in Shanghai and provide evidence for the disease surveillance. The epidemiological data of diarrhea cases in Shanghai from 2016 to 2022 were collected from Shanghai Diarrhea Comprehensive Surveillance System, and stool samples were collected from the cases for DEC detection. The drug resistance data was obtained from Chinese Pathogen Identification Network.

Herein, we investigated the genetic characteristics of mobile colistin resistance gene ()-carrying strains isolated from wastewater of LTCFs in Shanghai. Antimicrobial susceptibility test was carried out by agar dilution methods.

Objectives: This study aimed to establish a collaborative approach to quantify local HIV transmission, which is an issue of great concern to public health.
Methods: We linked HIV-1 pol gene sequences to demographic information and epidemiological investigations in Hangzhou (a central city in East China). We estimated local acquisition rates from a collaboration of molecular network analysis (with a distance-based approach) and epidemiological investigations.
Kelch 13 (Pfk13) is an essential protein that contains BTB and Kelch-repeat propeller domains (KRPD), which was predicted to bind substrate during ubiquitin-dependent degradation pathway. However, the function of Pfk13 and the structural alterations associated with artemisinin resistance mutations remain unknown. Herein, we screened two proteins, namely Pfk13-F446I and Pfk13-C580Y, which are closely associated with artemisinin, for structural prediction analysis.

As the most dominant HIV-1 strain in China, CRF01_AE needs to have its evolutionary and demographic history documented. In this study, we provide phylogenetic analysis of all CRF01_AE pol sequences identified in mainland China. CRF01_AE sequences were collected from the Los Alamos HIV Sequence Database and the local Chinese provincial centers of disease control and prevention.

Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of three agglutination tests used in three countries for detection of antibodies to Taxoplasma gondii.
Methods: A total of 288 human serum samples were assayed using modified agglutination test (MAT-1, using selfmade antigen), latex agglutination test (LAT, using Japanese Kit) and modified agglutination test (MAT-2, using French antigen).
Results: The positive rates of MAT-1 (> or = 1:20), LAT (> or = 1:32) and MAT-2 (> or = 1:20) were 9.
