This project aimed to explore the protective effect of ginsenoside Rg_1 on hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)-induced H9 c2 cardiomyocyte injury and its underlying signaling pathway. The H/R model of H9 c2 cardiomyocytes was established and then the cells were divided into different treatment groups. CCK-8(cell counting kit-8) was used to detect the activity of cardiomyocytes; Brdu assay was used to detect the proliferation of H9 c2 cells; the caspase-3 activity was tested, and then the protein expression was assessed by Western blot.

This study was designed to investigate the biocompatibility and the degradation behavior of a Zn-3Cu alloy, a Zn-3Cu coating alloy, a Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr (denoted as JDBM) alloy and a JDBM coating alloy to choose the optimal alloy for common bile duct (CBD) surgery. In the in vitro degradation experiments, we observed the surface morphology of the samples and determined the elements of the corrosion products. In the in vitro cytotoxicity experiments, the cell morphology and cytotoxicity were observed and tested.

Inflammatory response and apoptosis play an important role in progression of spinal cord injury (SCI). Recently, aberrant microRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as a key regulator in SCI. However, it remains unknown whether and how miRNAs mediated the inflammatory response after SCI.

Metastatic bone disease is a frequent complication of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and causes skeletal-related events, which result in a poor prognosis. Currently, no standard method has been developed to precisely assess the therapeutic response of bone metastases (BM) and the early efficacy of anti-angiogenic therapy, which does not conform to the concept of precision medicine. This study aimed to investigate the usefulness of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) for precise evaluation of the response to chemotherapy with anti-angiogenic agents in NSCLC patients with BM.

Purpose: The treatment of posterolateral tibial plateau fracture remains controversial and challenging. Several approaches for this fracture have been applied for direct exposure and support plate fixation. However, several structures are to be at risk via posterior approach, which may affect exposure and plate application.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging in molecular biology as crucial regulators of cancer. The efficacy of doxorubicin--based chemotherapy in osteosarcoma (OS) is usually limited by acquired drug resistance. To explore the mechanism of chemoresistance of OS in terms of lncRNA, using a human lncRNA-mRNA combined microarray, we identified 3,465 lncRNAs (1,761 up and 1,704 down) and 3,278 mRNAs (1,607 up and 1,671 down) aberrantly expressed in all three sets of doxorubicin-resistant MG63/DXR and their paired parental MG63 cells (fold-change >2.

The association between TGF-β1 +869C/T polymorphism and risk of fractures remained controversial. Therefore, we performed this meta-analysis to investigate this association. We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Wangfang databases for studies before Aug 2014.

Several studies have examined the associations of polymorphism in interleukin-6 (IL6) with fracture risk. However, the results were conflicting. Thus, a meta-analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between IL6-174C/G polymorphism and risk of fracture.

Objective: To explore the relationship between selenoprotein P (SEPP) and insulin resistance in subjects with normal glucose tolerance and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Methods: A total of 156 subjects with newly onset diabetes and 64 subjects with normal glucose tolerance were enrolled. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FIN), lipid profile and SEPP level were measured and height, weight and blood pressure were recorded.
