Absolute quantification of ligand capped on the surface of nanoparticles (NPs) has faced a great challenge without the use of complex inner standards (CIS). A 38-year-old man with a history of resistant hypertension for more than 10 years underwent laparoscopic-based perivascular unilateral renal sympathetic nerve denervation in 2012. After the operation, the patient's blood pressure has been controllable while the antihypertensive drug intake has decreased over 6 years. Laparoscopic-based perivascular unilateral renal sympathetic nerve denervation may be a potentially feasible and effective option in treating patients with resistant hypertension.

Diverse clustered protocadherins are thought to function in neurite morphogenesis and neuronal connectivity in the brain. Here, we report that the protocadherin alpha () gene cluster regulates neuronal migration during cortical development and cytoskeletal dynamics in primary cortical culture through the WAVE (Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome family verprolin homologous protein, also known as Wasf) complex. In addition, overexpression of proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2 (Pyk2, also known as Ptk2b, Cakβ, Raftk, Fak2, and Cadtk), a non-receptor cell-adhesion kinase and scaffold protein downstream of Pcdhα, impairs cortical neuron migration via inactivation of the small GTPase Rac1.

To analyze the efficacy of Green Light photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP) in elderly high-risk benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patients with glands over 80 ml. From December 2013 to February 2016, we allocated 84 elderly (age 71-97) high-risk patients who underwent preoperative transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) examination with glands over 80 ml and divided them into two groups to receive 120 W (n = 40) and 180 W (n = 44) PVP. All the patients have been observed at least one intraoperative comorbidity: hypertension, diabetes mellitus, NYHA II, or combined.

It is necessary to assess tracheobronchial anomalies and make a preoperative airway evaluation. Multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the most effective noninvasive modalities for the diagnosis of CHD and the associated tracheobronchial anomalies.
