Background: Healthy plasma therapy reverses cognitive deficits and promotes neuroplasticity in ageing brain disease. However, whether healthy plasma therapy improve blood-brain barrier integrity after stroke remains unknown.

Methods: Here, we intravenously injected healthy female mouse plasma into adult female ischaemic stroke C57BL/6 mouse induced by 90 min transient middle cerebral artery occlusion for eight consecutive days.

Tubulocystic renal cell carcinoma: Two-case report and literature review.

Tubulocystic renal cell carcinoma is a rare neoplasm of kidney with low metastatic tendency. There has only been a relatively small collection of literature dedicated to this subtype. Here we present two cases diagnosed in our center with detailed clinical information.

Association of BST1 polymorphism with idiopathic restless legs syndrome in Chinese population.

Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) and restless legs syndrome/Willis-Ekbom disease (RLS/WED) are both common movement disorders. Based on their clinical overlap, association studies of PD and RLS/WED have been conducted for many years.

Objective: To investigate whether or not the genetic risk factor of PD was also associated with RLS/WED.

The aim of this study was to explore the long-term clinical results of Renal denervation (RDN) from the adventitia of the renal artery plus unilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy to treat patients with resistant hypertension caused by unilateral aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA). Sixty patients with resistant hypertension caused by APA who were treated at Henan Provincial People's Hospital from December 2016 to March 2018 were selected and randomly assigned to undergo RDN from the adventitia of the renal artery plus adrenalectomy (RDN group, n = 30) or adrenalectomy alone (control group, n = 30). Office blood pressure (BP), antihypertensive medication usage and other laboratory characteristics were followed every 6 months through 36 months.

Anterior limb of the internal capsule tractography: relationship with capsulotomy outcomes in obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Objectives: Surgical procedures targeting the anterior limb of the internal capsule (aLIC) can be effective in patients with selected treatment-refractory obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The aLIC consists of white-matter tracts connecting cortical and subcortical structures and show a topographical organisation. Here we assess how aLIC streamlines are affected in OCD compared with healthy controls (HCs) and which streamlines are related with post-capsulotomy improvement.

Methods: A prospective multi-center randomized controlled trial was conducted from December 2008 to December 2012 at 5 hospitals in China.

Influence of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Quality of Life of Patients with Parkinson's Disease.

Introduction: This study investigated the influence of lockdown during the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic on the quality of life of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD).

Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey involving 113 patients with PD from Xihu District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang. During the epidemic prevention and control period (February 1 to March 31, 2020), patients enrolled were asked to fill out questionnaires, including the "COVID-19 Questionnaire for PD Patients during the Period of Epidemic Prevention and Control" and "39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39).

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a prion disease, usually presented with memory loss, ataxia, dementia, myoclonus, involuntary movements and psychiatric problems. D178N-homozygous 129M genotype has been recognized in the diagnosis of fatal familial insomnia (FFI) globally. Here we report a patient presented with progressive left upper limb stiffness, bradykinesia, hypomimia and weight loss (10 kg) initially.

Clinical factors affecting prognosis of limb osteosarcoma in China: a multicenter retrospective analysis.

Objective: This study was performed to explore the relationship between various clinical factors and the prognosis of limb osteosarcoma.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 336 patients with limb osteosarcoma treated from June 2000 to August 2016 at 7 Chinese cancer centers. Data on the patients' clinical condition, treatment method, complications, recurrences, metastasis, and prognosis were collected and analyzed.

Objective: To explore the clinical and radiological characteristics of COVID-19 patients with progressive and non-progressive CT manifestations.

Methods: 160 patients with COVID-19 were retrospectively included from Wenzhou and Wuhan, China. CT features including lesion position, attenuation, form and total scores (0-4) at the segment level were evaluated.

Previous studies describing renal denervation (RDN) from the intima of the renal artery for the treatment of resistant hypertension have reported variable efficacies, and RDN triggers renal intimal injury and atherosclerosis. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of RDN from the adventitia of renal artery plus unilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy to treat patients with resistant hypertension caused by unilateral aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA). A total of 60 consecutive patients with resistant hypertension caused by unilateral APA were enrolled in this study.

Double lung transplantation for Sjögren's syndrome-related interstitial lung disease: a case report and review of literature.

In this study, we present a case of 65-year-old male patient with suspected Sjögren's syndrome-related interstitial lung disease (SS-ILD) with initial symptoms of limb edema and acute respiratory failure. He was treated with immunosuppressor, respiratory support, dialysis, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory medications. However, no significant response was shown to anti-fibrotic treatments and his respiratory function deteriorated.

A predictive model and scoring system combining clinical and CT characteristics for the diagnosis of COVID-19.

Objectives: To develop a predictive model and scoring system to enhance the diagnostic efficiency for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Methods: From January 19 to February 6, 2020, 88 confirmed COVID-19 patients presenting with pneumonia and 80 non-COVID-19 patients suffering from pneumonia of other origins were retrospectively enrolled. Clinical data and laboratory results were collected.

Objectives: To compare the perioperative outcomes between robotic posterior retroperitoneal adrenalectomy (RPRA) with laparoscopic posterior retroperitoneal adrenalectomy (LPRA) for adrenal tumors and to identify which group of patients may benefit from RPRA.

Guidelines for parenteral and enteral nutrition in geriatric patients in China.

Based on the expert consensus on parenteral and enteral nutrition support for geriatric patients in China in 2013, domestic multidisciplinary experts were gathered to summarize the new evidence in the field of elderly nutritional support at home and abroad. The 2013 consensus was comprehensively updated and upgraded to a guideline by referring to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation system for grading evidence. These guidelines were divided into two parts: general conditions and common diseases.

Correlation analysis between femoral trochlear dysplasia and anterior cruciate ligament injury based on CT measurement.

Infection Control for CT Equipment and Radiographers' Personal Protection During the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak in China.

Because CT plays an important role in diagnosis, isolation, treatment, and effective evaluation of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), infection prevention and control management of CT examination rooms is important. We describe modifications to the CT examination process, strict disinfection of examination rooms, arrangement of waiting areas, and efforts to increase radiographers' awareness of personal protection made at our institution during the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, we discuss the potential of using artificial intelligence in imaging patients with contagious diseases.

Validation of the Key Active Ingredients and Anti-Inflammatory and Analgesic Effects of Shenjin Huoxue Mixture Against Osteoarthritis by Integrating Network Pharmacology Approach and Thin-Layer Chromatography Analysis.

Background: Shenjin Huoxue Mixture (SHM), a classic traditional herb mixture has shown significant clinical efficacy against osteoarthritis (OA). Our previous experimental study has confirmed its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect on acute soft tissue injury in rats, with the compound of glycyrrhizinate in SHM identified and the content of paeoniflorin in SHM determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). However, the components and its pharmacological mechanisms of SHM against OA have not been systematically elucidated yet.
