[Cardiovascular depression and intravascular hemolysis secondary to ethanol injection for arteriovenous malformation].

Ethanol is the only liquid embolization agent which can cure arteriovenous malformation. Complications of ethanol embolization are not rare including local tissue injury, intravascular hemolysis and cardiovascular depression even collapse, etc. This report presented a case of long time cardiovascular depression and intravascular hemolysis secondary to ethanol embolotherapy of right ear.

[Effects of using different dose of dexmedetomidine during tracheal extubation for patients with parotidectomy after general anesthesia].

Purpose: To observe the effects of using different-dose dexmedetomidine during tracheal extubation for patients with parotidectomy after general anesthesia.

Methods: Eighty patients with "ASA I-II"scheduled for parotidectomy under general anesthesia were randomly divided into 4 groups, dexmedetomidine group (D1, D2, D3 group) and control group (C group), 20 cases in each group. Anesthesia induction and maintenance were the same.

[Chinese experts consensus on the use of oral propranolol for treatment of infantile hemangiomas].

Infantile hemangioma (IH) is one of the most common benign vascular tumors in children. A variety of treatment methods have been documented for the management of IH over the past years, including pharmacotherapy via oral administration or injection of corticosteroids, vincristine, alpha interferon and bleomycin; laser therapy, radionuclide therapy, cryotherapy and excisional surgery. The therapeutic efficacy of each treatment modality is variable, while adverse effects or complications are common and sometimes serious.

[The effect of human PBMC on the growth of oral squamous cell carcinoma cell].

Purpose: To explore the effect and mechanism of activated peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBM) on the growth and apoptosis of oral squamous carcinoma cells in vitro.

Methods: ELISA, RT-PCR, MTT and flow cytometry were used to detect cytokines secretion and oral squamous carcinoma cell growth and apoptosis affected by activated PBMCs with PHA. The data was analyzed using SPSS17.

[Application of diversified teaching methods to improve the teaching effects in the course of oral histology and pathology].

Oral histology and pathology is one of the most important courses in stomatological education which works as a bridge between basic medical courses and clinical courses of oral science. The knowledge of oral histopathology may help the students to correctly understand the histogenesis and development of oral diseases and provide the information for correct treatment and prevention. In order to make the students grasp the necessary basic theories, increase the interest in learning, and improve the teaching effect, we explored a diversified teaching system which included diverse teaching modes, online courses and courseware construction.

[Clinical analysis of 35 flap crisis in anterolateral thigh free flaps].

Methods: A total of 288 patients were divided into 3 groups: young age group (18-34 years), middle age group (35-59 years) and old age group (above 60 years). They were selected to be scanned by cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), and the height of the first maxillary molar alveolar crest was measured though Kavo eXam Vision software.

A total of 70897 patients from July 2014 to September 2014 were enrolled as experimental group (group year-2014), while 63960 patients from July 2013 to September 2013 were used as control group (group year-2013).

[Exploring the stem cell surface markers expressed in human dental pulp stem cells].

Purpose: To explore the stem cell surface markers expressed in human dental pulp stem cells which were selected and isolated by magnetic beads.

Methods: Human dental pulp cells (hDPCs) were separated and cultured from dental pulp of healthy third molars for orthodontic purpose. HDPSCs were isolated from cultured hDPCs by magnetic-activated cell sorting's (MACS) indirect magnetic cell labeling and positive selection strategy with antibody STRO-1 in the 2nd generation.

[Immortalization of human dental pulp stem cells caused by transferring hTERT gene].

Purpose: To establish an immortalized human dental pulp stem cell line used for basic and clinical research of oral science.

Methods: Human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) cDNA was transferred into human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) by lentivirus. The resultant stable clones reproduced successively and the expression of hTERT was identified.

Primary intra- and juxta-articular vascular malformations of the temporomandibular joint: a clinical analysis of 8 consecutive patients.

Objective: To analyze primary intra- and juxta-articular vascular malformations of the temporomandibular joint.

Patients And Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed eight patients (seven venous malformations and one lymphatico-venous malformation) who were treated for intra- or juxta-articular vascular malformations of the temporomandibular joint from November 2005 to January 2011. All patients underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) preoperatively.

Methods: The experimental group included 40 students from grade 2011 while the control group included 41 students from grade 2010 in College of Stomatology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Purpose: To explore the expression and clinical significance of plasma microRNA-125b (miR-125b) in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Methods: By Stem-loop RT real-time PCR based on the SYBR Green, we investigated the expression of plasma miR-125b in 85 OSCC patients and 46 healthy controls, then evaluated its diagnostic performance as OSCC biomarker. Data analysis was performed with SPSS 17.

Association of GSTP1 Ile105Val polymorphism with risk of esophageal cancer: a meta-analysis of 21 case-control studies.

Background: The association of glutathione s-transferase P1 (GSTP1) Ile105Val polymorphism with risk of esophageal cancer (EC) has been evaluated in many studies; however, the results from these studies are controversial. Thus, further analysis on association between GSTP1 Ile105Val polymorphism and risk of EC is needed among a larger study population.

Method: We searched the relevant electronic databases and performed a meta-analysis based on 21 published case-control studies.

Methods: Human PDLCs were isolated and characterized. The proliferation rate of PDLCs under different concentration of CoCl(2) were tested by MTT assay.

[Abnormal effect of absolute ethanol sclerotherapy for arteriovenous malformations on hemodynamics].

Purpose: To observe and analyze the abnormal effect of ethanol sclerotherapy for arteriovenous malformations on hemodynamics.

Methods: Twelve cases of arteriovenous malformations who received absolute ethanol sclerotherapy were chosen. The heart rate, blood pressure, SPO₂ and ETCO₂ at different times were recorded and analyzed.

Establishment and characterization of a new highly metastatic human osteosarcoma cell line derived from Saos2.

Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignancy of bone in adolescents and young adults. There is a shortage of tumorigenic and highly metastatic human osteosarcoma cell lines that can be used for metastasis study. Here we establish and characterize a highly metastatic human osteosarcoma cell line that is derived from Saos2 cell line based on bioluminescence.
