Purpose: The aim of this study was to conduct a network meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness of various forms of exercise as an intervention for post-cancer depression and to provide a guiding program based on evidence-based medicine for subsequent clinical practice.

Methods: This review was registered on the PROSPERO website with ID CRD42023485407. Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were comprehensively searched to obtain published articles from the establishment of the database until October 7, 2023.

Vascular disease and risk of fall-related injuries in Parkinson's disease: A nationwide cohort study in Sweden.

Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) patients are prone to fall and fall-related injuries (FI). Vascular disease is common in PD and is positively associated with falls in elderly. We aimed to evaluate the association of vascular disease with FI risk in PD.

Stimulation of Erythrocyte Soluble Guanylyl Cyclase Induces cGMP Export and Cardioprotection in Type 2 Diabetes.

Reduced nitric oxide (NO) bioactivity in red blood cells (RBCs) is critical for augmented myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in type 2 diabetes. This study identified the nature of "NO bioactivity" by stimulating the intracellular NO receptor soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC) in RBCs. sGC stimulation in RBCs from patients with type 2 diabetes increased export of cyclic guanosine monophosphate from RBCs and activated cardiac protein kinase G, thereby attenuating ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Albedo changes caused by future urbanization contribute to global warming.

The replacement of natural lands with urban structures has multiple environmental consequences, yet little is known about the magnitude and extent of albedo-induced warming contributions from urbanization at the global scale in the past and future. Here, we apply an empirical approach to quantify the climate effects of past urbanization and future urbanization projected under different shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs). We find an albedo-induced warming effect of urbanization for both the past and the projected futures under three illustrative scenarios.

Potent Neutralization Antibodies Induced by a Recombinant Trimeric Spike Protein Vaccine Candidate Containing PIKA Adjuvant for COVID-19.

The structures of immunogens that elicit the most potent neutralization antibodies to prevent COVID-19 infection are still under investigation. In this study, we tested the efficacy of a recombinant trimeric Spike protein containing polyI:C (PIKA) adjuvant in mice immunized by a 0-7-14 day schedule. The results showed that a Spike protein-specific antibody was induced at Day 21 with titer of above 50,000 on average, as measured by direct binding.

Previous studies have assessed the aberrantly glycosylated tandem repeat region of MUC1 glycoprotein as three site-specific glycosylated neoantigen peptide motifs (PDTR, GSTA, and GVTS) for binding with a monoclonal antibody.

Based on conventional US and elastography, radiologists classified the degree of suspicion of breast lesions according to the US Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) criteria.
