Congenital heart disease (CHD) represents a spectrum of inborn heart defects influenced by genetic and environmental factors. Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) is a promising tool for monitoring the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens, providing a novel public health strategy to combat disease.
