MicroRNA-613 (miR-613) inhibits granulosa cell proliferation, suggesting its involvement in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). We predicted that long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) HLA-F antisense RNA 1 (HLA-F-AS1) could interact with premature miR-613. We then explored the crosstalk between HLA-F-AS1 and miR-613 in PCOS.

The significance of homeodomain transcription factor 2 in colon cancer cells.

Biomed Eng Online

August 2021

Department of Oncology, Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Tongji University School of Medicine, 301 Yanchang Road Middle, Shanghai, 200072, People's Republic of China.

Background: Colon cancer is a serious malignant tumor. It has been reported that paired-like homeodomain transcription factor 2 (PITX2) can promote the progression of several types of cancer via regulating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. It has also been demonstrated that high levels of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gastric carcinoma high expressed transcript 1 (GHET1) can also promote the development of cervical cancer via activating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Sodium hydroxide-induced esophageal stricture via an endoscopic injection needle: a novel rabbit model of corrosive injury.

J Interv Med

February 2018

Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai 200233, China.

Benign strictures of the esophagus are commonly encountered in clinical practice and are difficult to manage conservatively. This study aimed to establish a novel animal model of benign esophageal stricture by using corrosive-induced injury in rabbits with an injection of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) via a self-made endoscopic injection needle. Corrosive injury of the esophagus was induced in 10 rabbits by administration of 1 mL of 1.

The mortality risk factor of community acquired pneumonia patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a retrospective cohort study.

BMC Pulm Med

January 2018

Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, Tongji University School of Medicine, No. 507 Zhengmin Road, Shanghai, 200433, China.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most common comorbidities in community acquired pneumonia (CAP) patients. We aimed to investigate the characteristics and mortality risk factors of COPD patients hospitalized with CAP.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital and Shanghai Dahua Hospital.

Primary hepatic angiosarcoma (PHA) is a rare malignancy with a badly poor prognosis. The extremely low morbidity and untypical clinical manifestations conduce to a missed diagnosis. The present study reported a case of an adult male patient who was pathologically confirmed to be PHA, which mimicked intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma on conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.

The mechanisms by which Shaoyao-Gancao decoction (SGD) inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines in serum and brain tissue after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (CI-RP) in rats were investigated. A right middle cerebral artery occlusion was used to induce CI-RP after which the rats were divided into model (n = 39), SGD (n = 28), clopidogrel (n = 25) and sham operated (n = 34) groups. The Bederson scale was used to evaluate changes in behavioral indices.

Electronic address:

Article Synopsis
  • A new ultra high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method has been developed to analyze the pharmacokinetics of xanthatin, a sesquiterpene lactone, in rat plasma, using psoralen as an internal standard.
  • The method utilized gradient elution on a specific C18 column and operated under MRM mode with an electrospray ionization source, achieving detection of xanthatin in under 5 minutes with a lower limit of quantification of 1 ng/mL.
  • Results showed excellent precision and accuracy, with the method demonstrating good extraction recoveries, making it the first successful application for quantifying xanthatin in rat plasma.
