Introduction: Post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PT-Cy) use is a recent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis strategy for patients undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). PT-Cy combined with two immunosuppressants is now widely used after haplo-identical (haplo) and HLA-matched peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) transplantations with promising GVHD and relapsefree survival (GRFS) probabilities. Although appealing, these results may benefit from improvement notably outside matched sibling donor transplantation, and should be investigated in various ethnic populations.

The development of facilely synthetic materials acts an essential role in glycoproteome analysis, especially for the highly efficient enrichment of N-linked glycopeptides. In this work, a facile and timesaving route was introduced in which COF served as a carrier and poly (ethylenimine) (PEI) and carrageenan (Carr) were successively coated on the surface via electrostatic interaction. The resultant COF@PEI@Carr showed remarkable performance in glycopeptide enrichment with high sensitivity (2 fmol μL), high selectivity (1:800, molar ratio of human serum IgG to BSA digests), large loading capacity (300 mg g), satisfactory recovery (102.

Postural control impairment is one of the primary motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson's disease, leading to an increased risk of falling. Several studies have been conducted on postural control disorders in Parkinson's disease patients, but no relevant bibliometric analysis has been found. In this paper, the Web of Science Core Collection database was searched for 1,295 relevant papers on postural control in Parkinson's disease patients from December 2011 to December 2021.

Immunotherapy as a rapidly developing therapeutic approach has revolutionized cancer treatment and revitalized the field of tumor immunology research. 3D in vitro models are emerging as powerful tools considering their feature to maintain tumor cells in a near-native state and have been widely applied in oncology research. The novel 3D culture methods including the co-culture of organoids and immune cells, ALI culture, 3D-microfluidic culture and 3D-bioprinting offer new approaches for tumor immunology study and can be applied in many fields such as personalized treatment, immunotherapy optimizing and adoptive cell therapy.

Purpose: This single-center retrospective clinical study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of chemoradiotherapy with paclitaxel liposome plus cisplatin for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
Methods: Patients with locally advanced ESCC treated with paclitaxel-liposome-based chemoradiotherapy between 2016 and 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. Overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were evaluated using Kaplan-Meier analysis.

Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common selective and progressive neurodegenerative disorder of nigrostriatal dopaminergic (DA) neurons. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and anti-cancer properties. However, the exact mechanism by which quercetin exerts its protective effect on DAergic neurons remains unclear.

The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy and toxicity of induction chemotherapy (IC) plus radiotherapy (RT) and IC plus concurrent or adjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CCRT/AC) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients with negative Epstein-Barr virus DNA (EBV DNA) after IC. A total of 547 NPC patients with negative plasma EBV DNA post-IC were included. Patients were classified into the IC + RT group and the IC + CCRT/AC group.

Backgrounds: Despite publication of international guidelines, there are notable controversial points of clinical target volume (CTV) delineation in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Recently, scholars proposed a novel way of delineation of CTV in NPC-individualization of CTV delineation based on T classification and spread patterns, which yielded excellent long-term local control with limited late toxicities. The aim of this study was to clarify the anatomic patterns and pathways of local recurrence of NPC and provide a clinical reference for the delineation of CTV.

Drug-induced parkinsonism (DIP) is the most prevalent neurological side effect of antipsychotics in the Chinese population. Early prevention, recognition, and treatment of DIP are important for the improvement of treatment outcomes and medication adherence of schizophrenia patients. However, the risk factors of DIP and the impact on the clinical syndromes of schizophrenia remain unknown.

Background: Recently, target auto-segmentation techniques based on deep learning (DL) have shown promising results. However, inaccurate target delineation will directly affect the treatment planning dose distribution and the effect of subsequent radiotherapy work. Evaluation based on geometric metrics alone may not be sufficient for target delineation accuracy assessment.

Background: Spinal muscular atrophy, lower extremity predominant (SMALED) is a type of non-5q spinal muscular atrophy characterised by weakness and atrophy of lower limb muscles without sensory abnormalities. SMALED1 can be caused by dynein cytoplasmic 1 heavy chain 1 (DYNC1H1) gene variants. However, the phenotype and genotype of SMALED1 may overlap with those of other neuromuscular diseases, making it difficult to diagnose clinically.

Background: Myosin light chain plays a vital regulatory function in a large-scale cellular physiological procedure, however, the role of myosin light chain 5 (MYL5) in breast cancer has not been reported. In this study, we aimed to elucidate the effects of MYL5 on clinical prognosis and immune cell infiltration, and further explore the potential mechanism in breast cancer patients.
Methods: In this study, we first explored the expression pattern and prognostic value of MYL5 in breast cancer across multiple databases, including Oncomine, TCGA, GTEx, GEPIA2, PrognoScan, and Kaplan-Meier Plotter.

Background: For locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) patients who remained unresectable after neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NST), radiotherapy (RT) is considered as an approach for tumor downstaging. In this study, we attempted to discuss the value of RT for patients with unresectable or progressive disease in the breast and/or regional nodes following NST.
Methods: Between January 2013 and November 2020, the data for 71 patients with chemo-refractory LABC or de novo bone-only metastasis stage IV BC who received locoregional RT with or without surgical resection were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: There is considerable heterogeneity in clinical behavior and survival outcomes in patients with cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), and the prognosis of CCA patients is poor. We proposed lymphocyte to monocyte ratio (LMR) as a novel prognostic element for CCA patients with hepatic resection in present study.
Methods: By retrospectively analyzing the clinical data of 145 CCA patients with hepatic resection, we determined the optimal LMR cutoff value according to the receiver operating characteristic (ROC).

Background: Thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) had been shown to improve overall survival (OS) in extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) patients. However, approximately one fourth of SCLC harbored baseline brain metastases (BMs) and were excluded from previous TRT trials. Thus, the role of TRT in this sub-cohort of ES-SCLC requires elucidation.

Background: Primary pure mucinous adenocarcinoma (PMA) is a rare type of lung cancer with unique clinical and prognostic features. Previous studies have shown that PMA have more early-stage cancer compared with other adenocarcinoma (ADC) subtypes. The clinicopathological features and optimal treatment strategies of resectable locally advanced mucinous adenocarcinoma lack evidence and require further study.
