The roots of Sophora flavescens was reported to possess many pharmacological activities including anti-inflammatory, antiashmatic, antithelmintic, free radical scavenging and antimicrobial activities. However, the low saturated solubility and dissolution velocity of S. flavescens lead to poor bioavailability.
