The pathogenesis of psoriasis involves hyperproliferation of epidermal keratinocytes and abnormal interactions between activated keratinocytes and infiltrating immune cells. Emerging evidence has shown that keratinocytes play essential roles in both the initiation and maintenance of psoriasis, suggesting that exposing keratinocytes to agents with antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects may be effective for psoriasis treatment. Guggulsterone (GS), a plant sterol derived from the gum resin of Commiphora wightii, possesses a variety of pharmacological activities.

Wogonin is a compound extracted from the medicinal plant Scutellaria baicalensis Geogi and has been found to exert antitumor activities in a variety of malignancies. However, the molecular mechanisms involved in the anti-gastric cancer (GC) effects of wogonin remain poorly understood. In the present study, we found that wogonin treatment inhibited the proliferation of GC cells, induced apoptosis and G0/G1 cell arrest, and suppressed the migration and invasion of SGC-7901 and BGC-823 cells in vitro.

Background: Recent phase III randomized controlled trials have demonstrated that first-line immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) improve prognosis in advanced HER-2-negative gastric cancer patients with programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) combined positive score (CPS) higher than 5. However, these findings are not confirmed in real-world settings, and the benefits in PD-L1 CPS < 5 patients remain controversial.
Methods: In this multicenter, retrospective cohort study, data from across thirteen medical centers were analyzed by inverse probability of treatment weighting for matching, alongside univariate and multivariate COX proportional hazard regression models.

Identifying depression symptoms in patients with hip fractures and studying the relationship between depression and pain intensity and pain location in hip fracture patients is of great significance for disease recovery in hip fracture patients. This cohort study analyzed 5 wave data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2020, focusing on 1222 patients with hip fractures. The study utilized the CESD-10 Depression Scale to assess depressive symptoms in hip fracture patients and conducted analyses to explore the relationship between depression symptoms, pain, and pain intensity, including binary logistic regression and examination of interaction terms between pain variables and pain intensity in key body parts.

This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of eltrombopag plus diacerein vs eltrombopag alone in patients with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who were previously unresponsive to 14 days of eltrombopag treatment at the full dose. Recruited patients were randomly assigned 1:1 to receive either eltrombopag plus diacerein (n = 50) or eltrombopag monotherapy (n = 52). Overall response rate, defined as a platelet count of ≥30 × 109/L, at least doubling of the baseline platelet count, and no bleeding, was reached in 44% of patients in the eltrombopag plus diacerein group compared with 13% in the eltrombopag group at day 15 (P = .

Background: CDC6 is an oncogenic protein whose expression level fluctuates during the cell cycle. Although several E3 ubiquitin ligases responsible for the ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis of CDC6 have been identified, the deubiquitination pathway for CDC6 has not been investigated.
Methods: The proteome-wide deubiquitinase (DUB) screening was used to identify the potential regulator of CDC6.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have shown great promise in treating late-stage gastric cancer, but their efficacy in the neoadjuvant setting has not been studied in large cohorts. Here, we explored the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant ICI-based therapy in locally advanced gastric cancer.
Patients And Methods: We included studies containing patients with locally advanced gastric/gastroesophageal cancer who received ICI-based neoadjuvant therapy.

Despite neoadjuvant/conversion chemotherapy, the prognosis of cT4a/bN+ gastric cancer is poor. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and antiangiogenic agents have shown activity in late-stage gastric cancer, but their efficacy in the neoadjuvant/conversion setting is unclear. In this single-armed, phase II, exploratory trial (NCT03878472), we evaluate the efficacy of a combination of ICI (camrelizumab), antiangiogenesis (apatinib), and chemotherapy (S-1 ± oxaliplatin) for neoadjuvant/conversion treatment of cT4a/bN+ gastric cancer.
