Non-functioning pituitary adenomas (NFPAs) are a highly heterogeneous group and often shows invasion, but few studies have explored the invasion mechanism and biomarkers for specific subtypes. This study was designed to describe the role of HIF1α and its downstream genes in specific subtypes of NFPAs. Specimens were classified into two subtypes of NFPAs: 46 null cell adenomas (28 invasive, 18 non-invasive) and 46 oncocytomas (11 invasive, 35 non-invasive).

Here, we characterized the diverse TMEs of IM and MO identified by whole-exome sequencing (WES) at single-cell resolution.

Approach And Results: We performed parallel WES and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) on twenty-three samples from seven patients to profile their TMEs when major results were validated by immunohistochemistry in the additional cohort.

Background: Urothelial carcinoma is a common malignant tumor of the urinary system, with prognosis linked to pathological grade and TNM stage. Alterations in chromosomes 3, 7, and 17, along with the P16 locus on chromosome 9 (CSP3, CSP7, CSP17, and GLPp16), are associated with cancer progression and may serve as important biomarkers. This study aimed to explore the relationships between these chromosomal factors and the pathological grade and TNM stage of UCC, potentially leading to a novel diagnostic approach that enhances patient stratification and treatment planning.

A feasibility study of DNA ploidy analysis, HPV, and TCT for screening of cervical cancer: A retrospective study.

The present study aimed to evaluate the application of DNA ploidy analysis, human papillomavirus (HPV-DNA) test, and thin-prep cytologic test (TCT) for mass screening of cervical cancer (CC). A total of 13,830 patients who underwent both TCT and HPV-DNA tests from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected as study participants (10,107 patients from Shandong Provincial Hospital, 2447 patients from First People's Hospital of Tancheng County, and 1276 patients from Liaocheng People's Hospital). We also conducted a DNA ploidy analysis and compared the results.

Background: Rare endocrine diseases (RED) often pose chronic and life-threatening challenges, yet their economic costs and societal impact remains have not been precisely quantified.

Methods: We obtained patient data from the 2018 Nationwide Inpatient Sample (NIS) and the Nationwide Readmissions Database (NRD), identifying RED patients through International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision codes. The difference of economic burden between RED patients and the control group, including hospital length of stay, hospitalisation costs, and readmission rates, was assessed using chi-square tests.
