Plant rhizosphere bacterial communities are central to plant growth and stress tolerance, which differ across cultivars and external environments. The goal of this study was to assess the comprehensive effects of salt stress and peanut cultivars on rhizosphere bacterial community diversity. In this study, we investigated the effects of salt stress on peanut morphology and pod yield and the associated rhizosphere bacterial diversity using statistical analysis and 16S rRNA gene sequencing, respectively.

Background: Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors (TFs) are one of the largest gene families in plants. They regulate gene expression through interactions with specific motifs in target genes. bHLH TFs are not only universally involved in plant growth but also play an important role in plant responses to abiotic stress.

WIPK-NtLTP4 module improves the resistance to R. solanacearum via upregulating the expression of defense-related genes, increasing the antioxidant enzyme activity, and promoting stomatal closure in tobacco. Lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) are a class of small lipid binding proteins that play important roles in biotic and abiotic stresses.

Drought is the main factor restricting peanut growth, but the molecular mechanism underlying peanut drought tolerance remains unclear. Herein, the seedling stage of drought-resistant peanut cultivar J11 was subjected to drought stress, and its proteomic profile was systematically analysed by isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ), the results of which were further complemented with our previous transcriptome results. A total of 4,018 proteins were identified by proteomic analysis, which revealed that the expression levels of 69 proteins were altered under drought stress.

Pectin is one of the major components of plant primary cell wall polysaccharides. The degree of pectin methylesterification (DM) plays an important role in the process of plant growth. However, little is known about the underlying regulatory mechanisms during the process of pectin demethylesterification.

is a very destructive pathogen causing severe peanut root rot, especially in the seeding stage of peanuts (), and often leading to the death of the plant. Protein lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation (Khib) is a newly detected post-translational modification identified in several species. In this study, we identified 5041 Khib sites on 1,453 modified proteins in .

Enormous distinctions of the stem structure and cell types between gymnosperms and angiosperms tree species are expected to cause quite different wood physical and mechanical attributes, however, the molecular mechanisms underlying the differing wood morphology are still unclear. In this study, we compared the transcriptomes obtained by RNA-Seq between × clone 84K, and (Lamb.) Carr trees.

Peanut ( L.) is an important oilseed crop worldwide, and peanut height has been shown to be closely related to yield, therefore a better understanding of the genetic base of plant height-related traits may allow us to have better control of crop yield. Plant height-related traits are quantitative traits that are genetically controlled by many genes, and distinct quantitive trait loci (QTLs) may be identified for different peanut accessions/genotypes.

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is one of the most economically important crops as an important source of edible oil and protein. In August 2020, circular to oval-shaped brown leaf spots (2-6 mm in diameter) with well-defined borders surrounded by a yellow margin were observed on peanut plant leaves in Laixi City, Shandong Province, China.

Lysine crotonylation is an important post-translational modification process. Most research in this area has been carried out on mammals and yeast, but there has been little research on it in plants. In the current study, large-scale lysine crotonylome analysis was performed by a combination of affinity enrichment and high-resolution LC-MS/MS analysis.

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea. L) is an important oil seed crop. Both arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) symbiosis and calcium (Ca) application can ameliorate the impact of saline soil on peanut production, and the rhizosphere bacterial communities are also closely correlated with peanut salt tolerance; however, whether AMF and Ca can withstand high-salinity through or partially through modulating rhizosphere bacterial communities is unclear.

Rhopalosiphum padi is a worldwide agricultural pest. Chemosensory proteins (CSPs) are considered to be a type of transporters which can bind chemicals from external environments. Previous research showed that the expression of some insect CSPs were significantly increased after exposure to insecticides, and CSPs were involved in insecticide resistance or susceptibility.

Background: The cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is one of the most important oilseed crops worldwide, and the generation of pegs and formation of subterranean pods are essential processes in peanut reproductive development. However, little information has been reported about alternative splicing (AS) in peanut peg formation and development.
Results: Herein, we presented a comprehensive full-length (FL) transcriptome profiling of AS isoforms during peanut peg and early pod development.

Neuropeptides are the most abundant and diverse signal molecules in insects. They act as neurohormones and neuromodulators to regulate the physiology and behavior of insects. The majority of neuropeptides initiate downstream signaling pathways through binding to G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) on the cell surface.

Long-term monoculture (LTM) decreases the yield and quality of peanut, even resulting in changes in the microbial community. However, the effect of LTM on peanut rhizobial communities has still not been elucidated. In this study, we isolated and characterized peanut rhizobia from 6 sampling plots with different monoculture cropping durations.
