The structural evolution of dielectric elastomer induced by pre-strain is a complex, multi-scale process that poses a significant challenge to a deep understanding of the effect of pre-strain. Through simulation results, we identify the variation in the dielectric constant and multi-scale (electronic structure, molecular chain conformation, and aggregation structure) response of poly(methyl acrylate). As the pre-strain increases, the dielectric constant initially rises (below 200% pre-strain) and then declines (above 200% pre-strain).

Few-Shot Anomaly Detection (FSAD) in industrial images aims to identify abnormalities using only a few normal images, which is crucial for industrial scenarios where sample training is limited. The recent advances in large-scale pre-trained visual-language models have brought significant improvements to the FSAD, which typically requires hundreds of text prompts to be manually crafted through prompt engineering. However, manually designed text prompts cannot accurately match the informative features of different categories across diverse images, and the domain gap between train and test datasets can severely impact the generalization capability of text prompts.

Community structure plays a crucial role in realistic networks and different communities can be created by groups of interest and activity events, and exploring the impact of community properties on collective dynamics is an active topic in the field of network science. Here, we propose a new coupled model with different time scales for online social networks and offline epidemic spreading networks, in which community structure is added into online social networks to investigate its role in the interacting dynamics between information diffusion and epidemic spreading. We obtain the analytical equations of epidemic threshold by MMC (Microscopic Markov Chain) method and conduct a large quantities of numerical simulations using Monte Carlo simulations in order to verify the accuracy of the MMC method, and more valuable insights are also obtained.

Fully convolutional neural network has shown advantages in the salient object detection by using the RGB or RGB-D images. However, there is an object-part dilemma since most fully convolutional neural network inevitably leads to an incomplete segmentation of the salient object. Although the capsule network is capable of recognizing a complete object, it is highly computational demand and time consuming.

Over the past decade, the coupled spread of information and epidemic on multiplex networks has become an active and interesting topic. Recently, it has been shown that stationary and pairwise interactions have limitations in describing inter-individual interactions , and thus, the introduction of higher-order representation is significant. To this end, we present a new two-layer activity-driven network epidemic model, which considers the partial mapping relationship among nodes across two layers and simultaneously introduces simplicial complexes into one layer, to investigate the effect of 2-simplex and inter-layer mapping rate on epidemic transmission.

A core-shell nanowire heterostructure is an important building block for nanowire-based optoelectronic devices. In this paper, the shape and composition evolution induced by adatom diffusion is investigated by constructing a growth model for alloy core-shell nanowire heterostructures, taking diffusion, adsorption, desorption and incorporation of adatoms into consideration. With moving boundaries accounting for sidewall growth, the transient diffusion equations are numerically solved by the finite element method.

The way of information diffusion among individuals can be quite complicated, and it is not only limited to one type of communication, but also impacted by multiple channels. Meanwhile, it is easier for an agent to accept an idea once the proportion of their friends who take it goes beyond a specific threshold. Furthermore, in social networks, some higher-order structures, such as simplicial complexes and hypergraph, can describe more abundant and realistic phenomena.

A random matrix needs large storage space and is difficult to be implemented in hardware, and a deterministic matrix has large reconstruction error. Aiming at these shortcomings, the objective of this paper is to find an effective method to balance these performances. Combining the advantages of the incidence matrix of combinatorial designs and a random matrix, this paper constructs a structured random matrix by the embedding operation of two seed matrices in which one is the incidence matrix of combinatorial designs, and the other is obtained by Gram-Schmidt orthonormalization of the random matrix.
