A new species of , from the Sichuan Province of south-western China, is described and illustrated here. This new species has a pink corolla that is different from other species of in southwest China and, although it is morphologically similar to and , it has significant differences in the colour and shape of the corolla, the apex of the corolla limb, shape and indumentum of the filaments and a shorter pistil. A detailed description, colour photographs, distribution and habitat, as well as the IUCN conservation status, are also provided.

Fusarium and phenolic acids in apple replant soil have deleterious effects on soil, which affects the growth of young replanted apple trees. Here, we studied the effects of different chemical fumigants (metham sodium, dazomet, calcium cyanamide, 1,3-dichloropropene, and methyl bromide) on Fusarium and phenolic acids in soil. The chemical fumigants disturbed the apple replant soil microbial community to different degrees in the order from highest to the lowest as methyl bromide > 1,3-dichloropropene > dazomet > metham sodium > calcium cyanamide.

In this study, nano zirconium iron oxide based on activated carbon (ZIC) was successfully prepared by using the coprecipitation method. Compared with unmodified activated carbon, ZIC increases the number of active sites by adding metal oxides and hydroxyl groups and greatly improves the adsorption capacity of Sb(v). Zinc finger antiviral proteins (ZAP) can significantly inhibit the replication of avian leukosis virus subgroup J (ALV-J), but the traditional method of ZAP administration is by injection, which can easily cause stress effects in chickens. A facile substrate involved strategy was used to prepare Cu-Fe LDO (layered double oxide) nanoplates. The material exhibited good-efficiency for decomposition of ammonia borane (AB) in alkaline methanol solution. Significantly, the material also demonstrated excellent catalytic performance in the reduction of various nitroarenes by coupling with AB hydrolysis in a one pot tandem reaction, and gave excellent yields of the corresponding amine products.

In order to investigate the purification process and antioxidant activity of triterpenic acids from blackened jujube, the macroporous resin was applied to purify the crude extract from blackened jujube. The adsorption and desorption characterizations of five different macroporous adsorption resins (AB-8, D-101, X-5, HPD-100, S-8) for triterpenic acids of blackened jujube were compared, the optimum purification resins were screened, and the purification parameters were optimized. The antioxidant activity of crude extracts and purified products from blackened jujube was analyzed.

In rice (), the PLASMA MEMBRANE INTRINSIC PROTEIN (PIP) family of aquaporin has 11 members, OsPIP1;1 to OsPIP1;3, and OsPIP2;1 to OsPIP2;8, which are hypothesized to facilitate the transport of HO and other small compounds across cell membranes. To date, however, only OsPIP1;2, OsPIP2;1, and OsPIP2;4 have been demonstrated for substrate selectivity in their source plant (rice). In this study, OsPIP2;2 was characterized as the most efficient facilitator of HO transport across cell membranes in comparison with the other 10 OsPIPs.
