The experimental study of shunt-decompression arterialized vein flap.

Cancer Cell Int

September 2018

Department of Hand Surgery, Shenzhen Baoan Shajing People's Hospital, No. 3 Shajing St. Bao'an District, Shenzhen, 518104 Guangdong People's Republic of China.

Background: Arterialized vein flap is a kind of unphysiological flap. Unphysiological reconstruction of blood circulation leads to higher load than that supported by physiological flap and is the culprit of flap swelling, blood stasis, skin blistering, and necrosis after flap grafting. To resolve the multiple disadvantages of traditional flap grafting, by introducing the principles of fluid mechanics, shunt-decompression surgery is prepared to decline the circulation preload and improve the prognosis of arterialized vein flap grafting.

Myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury (MIRI) includes major drawbacks, such as excessive formation of free radicals and also overload of calcium, which lead to cell death, tissue scarring, and remodeling. The current study aims to explore whether KRT1 silencing may ameliorate MIRI via the Notch signaling pathway in mouse models. Myocardial tissues were used for the determination of the positive rate of KRT1 protein expression, apoptosis of myocardial cells, creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) expression, expression of related biomarkers as well as myocardial infarction area.

Objective: To compare glottis exposure of the same patients with potentially difficult tracheal intubation (PDTI) subjected to Airtraq laryngoscopy and Macintosh laryngoscopy under consciousness and topical anesthesia.

Methods: A total of 147 PDTI patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) I-III were subjected to Airtraq and Macintosh laryngoscopy performed by experienced anesthesiologists under consciousness and topical anesthesia.

Results: All patients were successfully intubated.

Efficacy and Safety of Sufentanil-Propofol Versus Remifentanil-Propofol as Anesthesia in Patients Undergoing Craniotomy: A Meta-Analysis.

World Neurosurg

November 2018

Department of Anesthesiology, Shenzhen Bao'an shajing people's hospital, Guangzhou Medical University, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sufentanil-propofol (SF) versus remifentanil-propofol (RF) as maintenance therapy for anesthesia in patients undergoing craniotomy.

Methods: Randomized controlled studies on SF and RF as anesthesia for craniotomy were searched in electronic databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, and Wanfang Data. All studies were published up to December 31, 2017.

Plasma small ncRNA pair panels as novel biomarkers for early-stage lung adenocarcinoma screening.

BMC Genomics

July 2018

National Center of Colorectal Disease, Nanjing Municipal Hospital of Chinese Medicine, The Third Affiliated Hospital, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing, 210001, China.

Background: Lung cancer is a major cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, and around two-thirds of patients have metastasis at diagnosis. Thus, detecting lung cancer at an early stage could reduce mortality. Aberrant levels of circulating small non-coding RNAs (small ncRNAs) are potential diagnostic or prognostic markers for lung cancer.

'Psoriasis 1', a Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) formulation, is extensively used to treat psoriasis in China. Although this CHM formulation yields good therapeutic effect, the underlying mechanism of how this works remains unknown. The present study aimed to test the hypothesis that the CHM formulation 'psoriasis 1' inhibits vitamin D receptor (VDR)‑mediated inflammation in psoriasis.

Recent studies have uncovered the vital roles played by microRNAs in regulating cardiac injury. Among them, the cardiac enriched microRNA-1 (miR-1) has been extensively studied and proven to be detrimental to cardiac myocytes. Hence, the current study aimed to explore whether miR-1 affects myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) in rats undergoing sevoflurane preconditioning and the underlying mechanism.

Background: The concern of adjacent segment disease (ASD) has led to the development of motion-preserving technologies, such as cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA). However, there is still controversy whether CDA is superior to anterior cervical decompression and fusion (ACDF) as to the incidence of ASD. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the rate of ASD between CDA and ACDF.

As the second most common gynecologic malignant tumors with a high mortality rate, cervical cancer jeopardizes women's life worldwide. The low cure rate in cervical cancer patients is mainly attributed to the lack of effective therapies. One feasible novel strategy is to develop immune-based approaches such as adoptive cell immunotherapy of DCCIKs which represents a promising nontoxic antineoplastic immunotherapy preferred in clinic practice.

The association of metabolic syndrome and its components with brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity in south China.

Atherosclerosis

June 2015

Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University, No. 3 Qingchun East Road, Hangzhou 310016, PR China. Electronic address:

Background: Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) can reflect both central and peripheral arterial stiffness. Metabolic syndrome (MS) and its components may increase arterial stiffness and the risks of cardiovascular diseases. However, the correlation of MS and its components with arterial stiffness has not been not well studied.

Objective: To determine the effect of early enteral nutrition (EN) on immune function of the patients after operation for severe abdominal trauma.

Methods: Fourty patients who underwent operation for severe abdominal trauma were randomly divided into two groups, and received an early enteral nutrition (EN group, n=20) through jejunal nutritional tube from postoperative day 1, or parental nutrition (PN group, n=20) for 7 days. C3, IgA, IgM, IgG and CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+ of the two groups patients were detected on the day before operation and the postoperative day 1 and 8.

Objective: To ascertain whether augmentation pedicle screw fixation with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) can enhance the stability of unstable thoracolumbar burst fractures of osteoporotic spine.

Methods: Six fresh frozen female osteoporotic spines (T10-L5) were harvested and an anterior and posterior column unstable model of L1 was made. Each specimen was fixated with plate and the stability test were performed by flexion, extension, axial rotation and lateral bending.

[Study and clinical application of auto-compressive and anti-rotate intramedullary nail].

Zhongguo Xiu Fu Chong Jian Wai Ke Za Zhi

May 2003

Department of Orthopedics, Shajing People's Hospital, Shenzhen Guangdong, P.R. China 518104.

Objective: To design an auto-compressive and anti-rotate intramedullary nail (ACACIN) and to evaluate the preliminary clinical efficacy on fixing adult femur fracture.

Methods: From January 1998 to June 2001, 23 patients with femur fracture were stabilized with auto-compressive and anti-rotate intramedullary nail. 2-4 elastic blocks were installed into the proximal and distal different distance of quincunx nail to defend rotate and axis compress.
