Aging significantly impacts several age-related neurological problems, such as stroke, brain tumors, oxidative stress, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and dementia), neuroinflammation, and neurotoxicity. Current treatments for these conditions often come with side effects like hallucinations, dyskinesia, nausea, diarrhea, and gastrointestinal distress. Given the widespread availability and cultural acceptance of natural remedies, research is exploring the potential effectiveness of plants in common medicines.

Despite advancements in vital pulp therapy (VPT), a subset of cases fails to achieve desired outcomes. This study based on a previous large-scale cohort study involving 1257 VPT-treated teeth, aiming to describe the demographic data and clinical characteristics of all failed cases and their management protocols. Clinical records/images of 105 failed cases treated by a single endodontist (2011-2022) were examined, including 10 extracted teeth.

The emergence of drug resistance is a substantial obstacle to the effective management of breast cancer, which is the primary cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. To facilitate the development of targeted therapies that can effectively overcome drug resistance, it is crucial to possess a comprehensive comprehension of the molecular mechanisms that underpin resistance to breast cancer treatment. So far, considerable progress has been made in the field of exercise-oncology research and overcome drug resistance, specifically about breast cancer.

In the current study, we aimed to review the evidence from twin and family-based studies that have assessed the familial similarity in intakes of energy and macronutrients among various parent-child pairs. The online literature databases, including Web of Science, PubMed, and Scopus, were searched up to December 2022 to find potentially eligible studies. We converted Pearson's, Spearman's, or intra-class correlation coefficients to z's using Fisher's z transformation to obtain approximate normality and then calculated a mean and standard error (SE) of transformed correlation weighted by the sample sizes in the studies.

Background And Aim: Cough is a common symptom among patients with sarcoidosis, and the Leicester Cough Questionnaire, a cough-specific quality-of-life measure, evaluates the impact of cough across physical, psychological, and social domains in patients with chronic cough. The aim of this study was cross-cultural adaptation and validation of Persian version of Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ) in pulmonary sarcoidosis in Iran.
Methods: Psychometric analyses included translation and back translation of the questionnaire, face validity, content validity, construct validity, criterion-related validity, internal consistency, and test -retest reliability were performed.

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a geometrical isomer of linoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity properties. However, the studies reported inconstant results about the CLA-related effects on lipid profiles. As a result, meta-analysis and systematic review were performed to survey the CLA supplementation-related effect on lipid profile including high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), total cholesterol (TC), and triglycerides (TG).

Introduction: Iron accumulation in the brain has been linked to diabetes, but its role in subcortical structures involved in motor and cognitive functions remains unclear. Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) allows the non-invasive quantification of iron deposition in the brain. This systematic review and meta-analysis examined magnetic susceptibility measured by QSM in the subcortical nuclei of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) compared with controls.

Transplant renal artery stenosis is the most common vascular complication that occurs following kidney transplantation and can lead to graft dysfunction and even its loss. The present report describes A patient with endstage renal disease who underwent living related renal transplantation. He had oliguria and creatinine rise in the post-operative course but all doppler ultrasonography (DUS) during the 2 months post-operation for the renal graft showed a normal mean resistive index in the graft renal artery.

Background: Despite remarkable advances, cancer has remained the second cause of death, which shows that more potent novel compounds should be found. Ethnobotanical compounds have a long history of treating diseases, and several approved chemotherapeutic compounds were isolated from plants.
Objective: The research aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic effects of root extract on ovarian, breast, and glioblastoma cells while examining its selectivity towards normal cells.
Background And Aims: Hypospadias, a congenital anomaly, can have long-term effects on sexual, urinary, and reproductive functions, making proper postoperative care essential for desirable outcomes, which could be facilitated through a mobile application for diseases with long-term complications. The aim of this study was to investigate the data and functional requirements or minimum data set of a postoperative education mobile application for caregivers of children with hypospadias.
Methods: A literature review of papers published until April 2023 using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement was conducted to determine the data and functional requirements of a mobile application that provides postoperative education to caregivers of children with congenital hypospadias.

Introduction: Alzheimer's disease (AD), characterized by distinctive pathologies such as amyloid-β plaques and tau tangles, also involves deregulation of iron homeostasis, which may accelerate neurodegeneration. This meta-analysis evaluated the use of quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) to detect iron accumulation in the deep gray matter (DGM) of the basal ganglia in AD, contributing to a better understanding of AD progression, and potentially leading to new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
Methods: Using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, we systematically searched the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Sciences, and Google Scholar databases up to October 2023 for studies employing QSM in AD research.
