The combining of therapeutic agents with electrospun nanofibers boosts their regeneration potential; therefore, Researchers have increasingly turned towards the development of electrospun nanofiber scaffolds to encapsulate or surface-adsorb biological payloads, such as cytokines, exosomes, peptides, nucleic acids, and enzymes. Due to their high surface-to-volume ratio, ease of manufacturing, and drug-loading capacity, electrospun nanofibers are hopeful in tissue engineering and scaffold fabrication. Electrospun multilayer scaffolds offer a promising construction for preserving the integrity and bioactivity of therapeutic factors while permitting the controlled and prolonged release of biomolecules into the environment.

Background: The pivotal factors, including neural plasticity, oxidative stress, neuronal inflammation, and apoptosis, play a significant role in the pathogenesis of tinnitus. The balance between Bax/Bcl-2 genes is an important factor in determining the rate of apoptosis. Pgc-1α and Tfam genes are fundamental regulators of mitochondrial biogenesis.

Meckel diverticulum is the most common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract which is located in small bowel within 2 feet of the ileocecal valve. Nevertheless, an inverted Meckel's diverticulum is an uncommon condition believed to result from aberrant peristalsis in that specific area. This article showed signs, symptoms, and possible clinical presentations using CARE guidelines in a case of inverted Meckel's diverticulum and reviews other possible features lastly, definitive treatment, results, and case follow-up were shown to refresh, and raise surgeons' awareness of this rare disorder.

Background: Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) is an autoimmune disease characterized by the destruction of thyroid cells through immune processes involving T helper (Th)1 cytokines. This clinical trial investigates the impact of vitamin D supplementation on serum cytokine levels and gene expression in CD4+ T cells from HT patients, aiming to understand its effects on Th-1, Th-2, Th-17, and regulatory T (Treg) cell-associated factors.
Methods: Female patients were randomly assigned in a double-blind design to either a vitamin D-supplemented group, which received cholecalciferol (1, 25(OH)D) at a dose of 50,000 IU, or the placebo group, which received a weekly placebo for a duration of three months.

Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) has been reported as a meaningful prognostic factor in various diseases. Our study compared patients' RDW levels and prognosis at admission and discharge time. A total of 128 patients 77 patients who suffered brain death (subject group), and 51 patients who were discharged from the hospital (control group) with GCS ≤ 6 were recruited from 60 hospitals for this study.

Background: Infectious agents are considered as a possible cause of schizophrenia. The aim of this study was to evaluate the serum levels of cytomegalovirus (CMV), Toxoplasma gondii and Brucella antibodies in schizophrenia patients compared with the control group.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 75 patients with schizophrenia who were clinically diagnosed with schizophrenia using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) by two independent psychiatrists.
Minimally invasive suturectomy has been reported to significantly decrease the economic cost of treating infants with craniosynostosis. Nonetheless, treatment should be accompanied by a cranial remolding orthosis to maintain the constant correction and reshaping of the skull throughout the infant's development.

Background: Significant hemodynamic, hormonal, and metabolic impairment of a brain-dead organ donor is often associated with the deterioration of graft viability. This study aimed to compare the effect of heparin therapy as a therapeutic dose after brain death confirmation on early graft survival in kidney and liver recipients.
Method And Materials: The deceased donors were sorted into two groups based on their D-dimer level.
Combined fractures of the femoral head and acetabulum due to hip gunshot injuries (GSI) are rare, and there is no preferred treatment option. We present a 35-year-old male patient who sustained a right hip GSI. Delayed THA with a two-step sequential approach is a feasible management in this situation to manage soft tissue and decrease infection rate.

Background: The migration of health professionals from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to High-Income countries (HICs) is an ongoing phenomenon that has been accelerating with globalisation. While there has been growing research around the migration of physicians and nurses, there is less understanding of the motives surrounding the migration of dentists, and even less about their migration from specific countries.
Objectives: This qualitative study explores the migration motivations of Iranian dentists who have moved to Canada.

Extracellular vesicles include exosomes, microvesicles, and apoptotic bodies. Their cargos contain a diverse variety of lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids that are involved in both normal physiology and pathology of the ocular system. Thus, studying extracellular vesicles may lead to a more comprehensive understanding of the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and even potential treatments for various diseases.

Background: Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), sometimes called noninvasive prenatal screening (NIPS), is a non-invasive prenatal genetic test using cell-free DNA in maternal blood. This method is used to diagnose fetal aneuploidy disorders such as Down syndrome (trisomy 21), Edwards syndrome (trisomy 18) and Patau syndrome (trisomy 13), which causes disability disorders or significant postpartum defects. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between high and low fetal fraction (FF) and prognosis of maternal pregnancy.

Osteoblastoma is a solitary benign bone-forming neoplasm, which comprises 1% of all primary bone tumors. Multifocal benign osteoblastoma of the jaws is very rare. Osteoblastoma must be differentiated from other similar bone-forming lesions such as osteoid osteoma and osteosarcoma for correct diagnosis and proper treatment planning.

The world health organization recommended to incorporate gene information such as isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutation status to improve prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment of the central nervous system tumors. We proposed our Shuffle Residual Network (Shuffle-ResNet) to predict IDH1 gene mutation status of the low grade glioma (LGG) tumors from multicenter anatomical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequences including T2-w, T2-FLAIR, T1-w, and T1-Gd.We used 105 patient's dataset available in The Cancer Genome Atlas LGG project where we split them into training and testing datasets.
