To evaluate the effect of Co-γ irradiation sterilization technology on the chemical composition of saffron, we collected 10 batches of saffron samples and treated them with different irradiation doses. UPLC characteristic chromatogram showed that there was no significant effect of irradiation on 13 common peak areas. The results of cluster analysis and principal component analysis showed that there were no differences in the chemical composition in nonirradiated and irradiated samples.

Nowadays, the abuse of antibiotics in aquaculture has generated considerable problems for food safety. Therefore, it is imperative to develop a simple and selective method for monitoring illegal use of antibiotics in aquatic products. In this study, a method combined molecularly imprinted membranes (MIMs) extraction and liquid chromatography was developed for the selective analysis of cloxacillin from shrimp samples.

Dexamethasone-imprinted polymers were fabricated by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles under mild polymerization conditions, which exhibited a narrow polydispersity and high selectivity for dexamethasone extraction. The dexamethasone-imprinted polymers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscope, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectrometry, and vibrating sample magnetometry. The adsorption performance was evaluated by static adsorption, kinetic adsorption and selectivity tests.

This study reports an analytical method for the determination of nitroimidazole and quinolones in honey using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). A modified QuEChERS methodology was used to extract the analytes and determine veterinary drugs in honey by LC-MS/MS. The linear regression was excellent at the concentration levels of 1-100 ng/mL in the solution standard curve and the matrix standard curve.

Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) has been developed into a powerful vibrational spectroscopy technique for chemical detection. However, the fabrication of colloidal droplets-based SERS substrates with well reproducibility and uniformity still remains challenging. In this paper, colloidal suspensions of hollow Au-Ag alloy nanourchins (HAAA-NUs) and Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) with different morphologies were employed as SERS-active substrates.

The cardioprotective drugs used for treatment against ischemia/reperfusion (MI/R) injury have been well evaluated and are considered inadequate. The Chinese herbal medicine formula, Xinji pill (XJP) has been used traditionally for the prevention and treatment of ischemic heart diseases for decades. In the present study, the cardioprotective effects of XJP against MI/R injury were assessed in vivo and its possible mechanism was examined.

In this work, a new molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction protocol was developed for the selective extraction and purification of glycyrrhizic acid from liquorice roots in aqueous media. The molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for glycyrrhizic acid were prepared by using bismethacryloyl-β-cyclodextrin and methacrylic acid as double functional monomers and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, thermo gravimetric analysis, nitrogen adsorption and elemental analysis. In aqueous media, the adsorption properties of MIPs including adsorption kinetics, adsorption isotherms and selectivity adsorption were investigated.

Environmental influences during early development increase the susceptibility to metabolism diseases in adulthood. Assisted reproductive techniques (ART) expose the gametes or preimplantation embryo to a nonphysiological environment that increases the risk of metabolism diseases in later life. However, the precise underlying causes of ART-related metabolism disease remain unclear.

Alteration of intrauterine growth trajectory is linked to metabolic diseases in adulthood. In mammalian and, specifically, human species, pregnancies through assisted reproductive technology (ART) are associated with changes in intrauterine growth trajectory. However, it is still unclear how ART alters intrauterine growth trajectory, especially reduced fetal growth in early to midgestation.

Compelling evidence indicates that stress in utero, as manifested by low birth weight (LBW), increases the risk of metabolic syndrome in adulthood. Singletons conceived by assisted reproductive technology (ART) display a significant increase in LBW risk and ART offspring have a different metabolic profile starting at birth. Here, used mouse as a model, we found that ART resulted in reduced fetal weight and placental overgrowth at embryonic day 18.

The bioactive ingredients in Semen sinapis were rapidly screened by immobilized β2-adrenoceptor (β2-AR) and target-directed molecular docking. The methods involved the attachment of β2-AR using any amino group in the receptor, the simultaneous separation and identification of the retention compounds by high-performance affinity chromatography; the binding mechanism of the interesting compound to the receptor was investigated by zonal elution and molecular docking. Sinapine in Semen sinapis was proved to be the bioactive compound that specifically binds to the immobilized receptor.

This study investigated vitamin K1 (VK1 ) distribution following intravenous vitamin K1-fat emulsion (VK1 -FE) administration and compared it with that after VK1 injection. Rats were intravenously injected with VK1-FE or VK1 . The organ and tissue VK1 concentrations were determined using high-performance liquid chromatography method at 0.

Objective: Homocysteine (Hcy) is known as an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis. C-reactive protein (CRP) directly participates in initiation and progression of atherosclerosis. However, there is no direct evidence to demonstrate pro-inflammatory effect of Hcy on vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) through CRP.

Objective: To evaluate the safety of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in the mouse model.
Methods: We simulated clinical ICSI technology and comprehensively evaluated it by parthenogenetic activation, immunofluorescence, embryo transplantation, examination of early implantation, and measurement of the crown-rump length (CRL).
Results: ICSI significantly reduced the ability of preimplantation embryo development of the mouse, especially after the 8-cell stage (P < 0.

Objective: To study the protective effect of atractylenolide I on immunological liver injury induced by BCG and LPS.
Method: Kunming mice were randomly divided into 6 groups: the normal group, the model group, positive control biphenyl group, the atractylenolide I high does group, the atractylenolide I middle dose group and the atractylenolide I low dose group (60, 120, 240 mg x kg(-1)), with 12 mice in each group. Immunological liver injury in mice was induced by BCG and LPS to compared liver index and spleen index and detect content of serum ALT, AST, MDA and GSH-px in serum and NO, iNOS, TNF-alpha in serum and liver homogenate.
