Introduction: Amyand's hernia is incarceration of vermiform appendix within inguinal hernia. Amyand's hernia associated with acute appendicitis is rare.
Case Presentation: A male in his 5th decade of life presented with enlarged right reducible inguinal scrotal swelling and each episode of incarceration relieved manually.

Unlabelled: Haemorrhagic pleural effusion can be a challenging diagnosis that requires a thorough investigation and sometimes a multidisciplinary team of physicians to reach the underlying aetiology. Causes can include pulmonary malignancy, pulmonary infections, connective tissue diseases, asbestos associated, intra-abdominal conditions such as pancreatitis and ovarian tumours, cardiovascular disorders such as ruptured aneurysms and pulmonary infarction, as well as other miscellaneous causes. One such cause is endometriosis in the thoracic cavity.

Background: The Global Initiative for Children's Surgery (GICS) group produced the Optimal Resources for Children's Surgery (OReCS) document in 2019, listing standards of children's surgical care by level of healthcare facilities within low resource settings. We have previously created and piloted an audit tool based on the OReCS criteria in a high-income setting. In this study, we aimed to validate its use in identifying gaps in children's surgery provision worldwide.

The primary objective of this review was to establish the effectiveness of maxillomandibular advancement (MMA) as a successful treatment modality in improving airway patency in patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). A systematic and detailed search was performed using PubMed Central, covering the period January 2000 to December 2015, with well-defined selection criteria. The authors independently conducted the study selection, data extraction, and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies.
