Dihydrotanshinone I (DHT) is an active ingredient derived from Salvia miltiorrhiza. Previous studies have demonstrated that DHT can improve cardiac function in rats with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (IR). However, the mechanism by which DHT improves myocardial injury in rats still requires further research.

To extend the short half-life of fluorouracil (Fu), enhance its tumor targeting, improve efficacy, and reduce side effects, providing a new approach for colorectal cancer treatment. Fluorouracil was hydroxylated and conjugated with methotrexate to form a 5-fluorouracil-methotrexate conjugate (MF). This was complexed with sulfobutyl ether-β-cyclodextrin (MF-SEBCD) using a stirring method to create an injectable formulation.

Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of Juan Bi Pill (JBP) in treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Methods: From February 2017 to May 2018, 115 participants from 4 centers were randomly divided into JBP group (57 cases) and placebo group (58 cases) in a 1:1 ratio using a random number table method. Participants received a dose of JBP (4 g, twice a day, orally) combined with methotrexate (MTX, 10 mg per week) or placebo (4 g, twice a day, orally) combined with MTX for 12 weeks.

Background: Renal fibrosis, a hallmark of chronic kidney disease, is closely associated with dysregulated gluconeogenesis. Tanshinone I (Tan I), a bioactive compound derived from the traditional Chinese medicine Danshen, exhibits antifibrotic and anti-inflammatory properties. However, its effects on gluconeogenesis and the mechanisms through which it alleviates renal fibrosis remain unclear.

Methods: From January 2015 to December 2018, patients with AIS and AF were enrolled. Demographics, lesion features, and blood test results were collected.
Background: Robot-assisted hand function therapy is pivotal in the rehabilitation of patients with stroke; however, its therapeutic mechanism remains elusive. Currently, research examining the impact of robot-assisted hand function therapy on brain function in patients with stroke is scarce, and there is a lack of studies investigating the correlation between muscle activity and alterations in brain function.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the correlation between forearm muscle movement and brain functional activation by employing the synchronized use of functional near-infrared spectroscopy and surface electromyography methods.
Background: Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) has attracted significant attention as it has been proven to be effective in facilitating upper limb motor recovery in patients with stroke. This meta-analysis evaluates the efficacy of dual-site non-invasive brain stimulation (DS-NIBS) in improving upper extremity motor function after stroke.
Methods: A PRISMA systematic search was conducted for randomized controlled trials.

Background: Endometriosis is a complex gynecological condition in which endometrial fragments are implanted outside the uterus, causing pain and infertility. Although immune mediators play a vital role in endometriosis, their exact etiology remains elusive. Using Mendelian randomization (MR), this study aimed to assess the causal relationship between inflammatory proteins and endometriosis.

Background: Methylated stool DNA (sDNA) is a reliable noninvasive biomarker for early colorectal cancer (CRC) diagnosis. However, there are barely any diagnostic panels that can achieve both a sensitivity and specificity exceeding 90% simultaneously.
Objective: We aimed to identify a novel methylated sDNA panel and model for the early diagnosis of CRC.

Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the most frequent chronic microvascular consequence of diabetes, and podocyte injury and malfunction are closely related to the development of DN. Studies have shown that corilagin (Cor) has hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic, and anti-tumor activities.
Aim: To explore the protective effect of Cor against podocyte injury in DN mice and the underlying mechanisms.

Background: Protein Energy Wasting (PEW) has high incidence in adult hemodialysis patients and refers to a state of decreased protein and energy substance. It has been demonstrated that PEW highly affects the quality of survival and increases the risk of death. Nevertheless, its diagnostic criteria are complex in clinic.

This study aimed to compare the biomechanical performance of an intramedullary nail combined with a reconstruction plate and a single intramedullary nail in the treatment of unstable intertrochanteric femoral fractures with a fracture of the lateral femoral wall (LFW). A three-dimensional finite element (FE) femur model was established from computed tomography images of a healthy male volunteer. A major reverse obliquity fracture line, associated with a lesser trochanteric fragment defect and a free bone fragment of the LFW, was developed to create an AO/OTA type 31-A3.
