Hemitruncus arteriosus is a rare congenital heart disease characterized by the abnormal origin of one of the branches of the pulmonary artery from the ascending aorta. In most cases, its diagnosis is made during childhood; in addition, due to its high morbidity and mortality, its asymptomatic evolution and survival to adulthood is extremely unusual. We present the case of a 30-year-old male patient, with a history of surgical closure of patent ductus arteriosus during childhood, who was asymptomatic until a year ago, in whom hemitruncus arteriosus was diagnosed after recurrent episodes of hemoptysis.

Objective: Evaluate the diagnostic and therapeutic utility, safeness, efficacy and complications of double-balloon enteroscopy (DBE).

Material And Methods: This prospective, descriptive study of DBE took place between July 2010 and June 2015 at the service of Gastroenterology of Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen- Lima Peru. 129 DBE were performed in 121 patients with the Fujinon EN-450T5 double balloon enteroscope, with conscious sedation and with previous bowel preparation.

We report two cases of biliary fascioliasis in patients from the highlands of Peru; with several months of symptoms characterized for biliary-type pain, dark urine and jaundice in one case. Both of them referred to the department of Gastroenterology of the Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen for suspicious of choledocolithiasis. Laboratory tests were performed which showed variable high levels of functional liver tests (cholestasis) and marked eosinophilia in one case.

Material And Methods: A total of 71 transjugular biopsy cases were studied from January 2001 to July 2003 at the Radiology Department, using the Cook Quick Core transjugular biopsy needle. Data collected included the patient demographic data, transjugular biopsy indications, specimen quality, and complications.
