Background: Metastatic germ cell tumors of the testis (GCTs) are risk-stratified according to the International Germ Cell Cancer Collaborative Group (IGCCCG) classification system. This risk classification is based on anatomical risk factors as well as tumor marker levels of AFP, HCG, and LDH assessed pre-chemotherapy after orchiectomy treatment. An incorrect classification is possible when pre-orchiectomy marker levels are used, possibly resulting in over- or undertreatment of patients.

Neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (nOH) is a disabling problem of autonomic dysfunction in patients with Parkinson's disease, which is associated with poor quality of life and higher mortality rates. The purpose of this literature review was to explore and compare the efficacy and safety of droxidopa (an existing treatment) and ampreloxetine (a newer medication) in the treatment of nOH. We used a mixed-method literature review that addresses the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of nOH in Parkinson's disease in a general way, with a more exploratory approach to droxidopa- and ampreloxetine-controlled trial studies.

Classically, it is not considered to be an antibody-mediated disease, however, IgM and C3 deposition may be seen in a subset of cases of FSGS. The impact of this immune deposition on histopathological features in renal core biopsies, on the urinary biochemical parameters, and the clinical outcomes, has not been previously investigated in our population.

Case Presentation: We present a young female with evisceration of the appendix via the drain site, successfully managed by abdominal exploration and appendectomy.

Background: The updated version of predictive classification for immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) prognosis "The Oxford Classification" identifies five histopathological features including mesangial hypercellularity (M), endocapillary proliferation (E), segmental glomerulosclerosis (S), tubular atrophy/interstitial fibrosis (T) and crescents (C), the MEST-C. However, few studies suggest that tubulointerstitial inflammation, which is not included in the MEST-C, is also linked to disease progression and is, consequently, a neglected determinant of prognosis among others. Therefore, there is a need to evaluate this histopathological parameter in patients with IgA nephropathy.
