Objective: To explore the effect of rapid rehabilitation nursing on inflammation and liver function in patients with primary liver cancer (PLC) after laparoscopic radical resection.
Methods: A total of 124 PLC patients who underwent laparoscopic radical surgery in the Zhuji People's Hospital of Zhejiang Province from April 2019 to July 2021 were enrolled in this retrospective study. Among them, 65 patients who received rapid rehabilitation nursing were assigned into the observation group (OG), and the other 59 with routine nursing were considered to be the control group (CG).

Carbon dots (CDs) have drawn considerable attention in recent decades due to their outstanding biocompatibility and environmental friendliness. In this study, we synthesized ionic liquid (1-aminopropyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bromide)-modified carbon dots (IL-CDs) showing good peroxidase-like activity. Furthermore, we investigated their enzymic behavior in the presence of two different amphiphilic molecules, namely -butanol (TBA, a typical hydrotrope) and sodium bis (2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT, a typical anionic surfactant).

Shikonin, as a traditional Chinese herbal medicine with a role of anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and other effects. However, there are few studies on the effect of shikonin on osteoporosis. Therefore, the purpose of this study aims to investigate the role and mechanism of shikonin on differentiation of BMSCs and BMMs into osteoblasts and osteoclasts formation.

MicroRNA-485-5p (miR-485-5p) has been reported to be involved in the development and progression of human cancers; however, its role in glioma remains unclear. In the present study, we found that miR-485-5p was significantly down-regulated in both glioma tissues and cell lines. Functional experiments indicated that enhanced expression of miR-485-5p attenuated glioma cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo, and induced glioma cells cycle arrest in G1.

Epilepsy is linked to mutations in KCNQ channels. KCNQ channels including KCNQ2 and KCNQ3 are enriched in neurons, regulating action potential generation and modulation. Here, we showed that properties of KCNQ2 channel in rat hippocampal cultured neurons are regulated by ubiquitous calcium sensor calmodulin.

This study explored the predictive value of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels combined with enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). One hundred and seventeen patients who received TACE from June 2010 to December 2012 in our hospital were included in this study. Serum VEGF and CRP levels before and after TACE were determined by ELISA and single immunodiffusion method for analyzing the association of serum levels with pathological features.
