In this study, we aim to identify circRNAs that may be associated with clinicopathological characteristics of patients with bladder cancer. The circRNAs databases CircBase and circ2 Traits were used to seek circRNAs reported to bladder cancer.

Primary pleuropulmonary synovial sarcoma: a case report.

Pleuropulmonary synovial sarcoma (PPSS) is an extremely rare malignant tumor, which is increasingly recognized as a subtype of sarcoma with a distinctive chromosomal translocation specific to synovial sarcoma. It is often presents like any thoracic tumor with symptoms such as chest pain or cough. Here we report a case of PPSS in a 49-year-old woman presenting with cough, shortness of breath and chest pain.

Renal pelvis urothelial carcinoma of the upper moiety in complete right renal duplex: a case report.

Urothelial carcinoma (UC) originated from renal pelvis is the common tumor of the urinary system, however, neoplasia of the renal pelvis in duplex kidneys is extremely rare, especially in the complete renal and ureteral duplex cases. We present the first case of renal pelvis UC of the upper moiety in a complete right renal duplex. This male patient has bilateral complete renal and ureteral duplex.

However, large scale systematic analysis of these of antibodies has not been conducted. The aim of this study is to analyze the positive rate of antisperm antibody (ASAb), anti-endometrium antibody (EMAb), anti-ovary antibody (AOAb), anti-zona pellucida antibody (AZP) and anticardiolipin antibody (ACA) in infertility patients in Tianjin region of China.

Impact of Xuebijing and ulinastatin as assistance for hemoperfusion in treating acute paraquat poisoning.

As the effect of Xuebijing as combined treatment in hemoperfusion (HP) toward acute paraquat (PQ) poisoning is not clear. We retrospectively analyzed 119 cases of acute paraquat poisoning in Tianjin first central hospital; the patients were divided into 3 groups based on treatment. Control (group A) patients underwent standard hemoperfusion with conventional treatment, while the experimental groups combined hemoperfusion with Xuebijing (group B) or ulinastatin (group C).

Leiomyomas of the bilateral tunica albuginea of testes: a case report.

Leiomyoma of the bilateral testicular tunica albuginea is extremely rare. To our knowledge, there are only 3 definitely reported cases. This is the first report of bilateral testicular tunica albuginea leiomyomas as a potential cause of male infertility.

Hepatic cancer is a class of cancer that is relatively insensitive to chemotherapy, and cancers that harbor EGFR active mutations are more sensitive to EGFR-TK inhibitor such as gefitinib, which becomes the first-line treatment of this subtype of cancer. Improving the dysfunction of endothelial progenitor cell (EPCs) in patients with diabetes mellitus is important for preventing vascular complication. Vaspin, an adipocytokine, has the anti-atherogenic properties rely on its positive effect on nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability. We hypothesis that vaspin may ameliorate high glucose induced dysfunction of EPCs.

Initiation of premature senescence by Bcl-2 in hypoxic condition.

Senescence, a state of cell cycle arrest, has been regarded as an intrinsic barrier to malignance. Although being repressed in most immortal tumors, the genetic program of senescence can be reactivated by critical regulators, including the apoptosis regulator Bcl-2. We showed here that hypoxic condition resulted in an irreversible senescence-like phenotype with increased expression of Bcl-2 in mouse melanoma B16 cells.
