Background: Nephrogenic adenoma (NA) is a rare benign tumor that can develop at any site of the urinary system, with the bladder being the most common, followed by the urethra, ureters, renal pelvises, etc. Currently, it is unclear what the pathogenesis of NA is. This study discussed a rare case of malignant transformation from NA to mesonephric adenocarcinoma of the bladder.

In the last decade, advancements in immunotherapy knowledge have highlighted CTLA-4, PD-1, LAG-3, TIM-3, and TIGIT, decisive immune checkpoints exhibiting within the tumor microenvironment (TME), as fundamental objects for cancer immunotherapy. The widespread clinical use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICls), employing PD-1/PD-L1 or CTLA-4 antibodies to obstruct crucial checkpoint regulators, is noted in treating B-cell lymphoma patients. Nevertheless, the prolonged advantages of the currently employed treatments against CTLA-4, PD-1, and PD-L1 are uncommon among patients.

Background: Small prostates (volume <30 ml) induce bladder outlet obstruction with pathophysiological changes distinct from those associated with large prostates. Treatment options often include transurethral incision of the prostate (TUIP) or transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). Existing treatments have issues with high recurrence and complication rates.

Liver metastasis is a common cause of death in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients, but epigenetic remodeling and metabolic reprogramming for CRC liver metastasis remain unclear. The study revealed that the Lyn/RUVBL1 complex is highly expressed in CRC and is closely correlated with liver metastasis. On the one hand, ATAC-seq and HiCut suggested that Lyn/RUVBL1 regulates the expression of TRIB3 through the POL II-mediated chromatin conformation of TRIB3 and thus the expression of β-catenin.

Aim: SAPHO (synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis and osteitis) syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder characterized by typical cutaneous lesions (palmoplantar pustulosis and eruptive acne) and osteoarticular symptoms (aseptic osteomyelitis and joint inflammation). This study aims to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor abrocitinib in patients with SAPHO syndrome.
Methods: We presented a patient with SAPHO syndrome with accelerated disease progression who did not respond to traditional therapies.

Objective: To explore the dynamic changes of psychological distress among patients with gynecological cancers across their treatment journey and identify the characteristics of subgroups of patients with distinct trajectories.
Methods: This study included a convenience sample of 132 patients with cervical cancer, ovarian cancer or endometrial cancer who received surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy in the gynecological department of a Grade III and Class A general hospital in Liaoning Province between November 2022 and October 2023. Patients' mean age was 55.

The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling pathway is frequently associated with ovarian cancer (OC) progression. However, inhibition of EGFR signaling in OC patients achieved limited therapeutic effects, highlighting the need to define the mechanism of EGFR deregulation in OC development. Herein we showed that serine palmitoyltransferase long chain base subunit 2 (SPTLC2) acts as a positive regulator in the EGFR signaling pathway in OC.

Background: Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) is the most common autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD), which is distinguished by high thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) or thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb). The differentiation of CD4T cell subsets in patients with HT is imbalanced, with Treg cells decreased and Th17 cells abnormally activated. Fatty acid oxidation supports the differentiation of Th17 cells and induces inflammation, but the specific mechanism is still unknown.

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy assessment is imperative for prognostication and clinical management of locally advanced gastric cancer. We propose an incremental supervised contrastive learning model (iSCLM), an interpretable artificial intelligence framework integrating pretreatment CT scans and H&E-stained biopsy images, for improved decision-making regarding neoadjuvant chemotherapy. We have constructed and tested iSCLM using retrospective data from 2,387 patients across 10 medical centers and evaluated its discriminative ability in a prospective cohort (132 patients; ChiCTR2300068917).

Colon cancer, a malignant tumor caused by a malignant lesion of the colonic mucosal epithelium, has seen a high incidence in recent years. Fungi contain polysaccharides, terpenes, flavonoids, and other chemical components, and the diversity of these components determines the strength of a fungus's biological activity. Studies have shown that the chemical components in fungi can be used as drugs to inhibit the growth of colon cancer.

Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a common hematological manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The diversity of its clinical features and treatment responses may reveal the complex pathophysiological mechanisms of the disease. To enhance the therapeutic response rate and improve the prognosis for SLE patients with concurrent ITP, while reducing adverse events during the treatment process, it is crucial to accurately identify and apply clinical parameters to predict patients' responses to treatment.

Breast cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies and poses a severe health risk to women. In recent years, ferroptosis therapy has been considered a promising therapeutic strategy for breast cancer by promoting intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and lipid peroxidation (LPO) accumulation. However, insufficient intracellular ROS levels and suboptimal drug accumulation within breast cancer lesions hinder the efficacy of ferroptosis as a single oncological treatment modality.

Bioreactor can provide a dynamic culture environment for the in vitro construction of osteochondral tissue engineering. They facilitate more efficient exchange of nutrients and provide mechanical and other beneficial stimulation. Previous findings demonstrated that rotary flask (RF) bioreactor, rotary cell culture system (RCCS), or electromagnetic field (EMF) mediated scaffold culture could create a favorable dynamic environment for osteochondral tissue engineering.
